clothes sizes

Ok you would think after all the times we've been to the states I would know the sizes

but I've dresses that I have got from size 10 to 14

so how do you work it out

In ladies sizes a US 10 is a UK 14, but teen sizes go up to age 16, which I would guss to be around a UK 12, so you might have bought a teen size thinking it was adults....I've done this!!!!

I think that it's a bit like the UK in that the sizes seems to depend on the shop to some extent. If I've not bought from a US shop before then I always try it on & sometimes have a good laugh(or cry depending on how it goes ) in the changing room.

I know with jeans etc I am a uk 16 but buy a 14 us size.Always thought the us sizes were a size lower than the uk
