Clothes in the dryer

One of the things I don't like about our house is the lack of room where the washer and dryer are, so as much as I would love to be able to pull items out and fold as I go, there isn't enough room. So we stuffing into the baskets and fold out in the living room.

We smush and bring upstairs two flights, dump on our bed to fold and distribute. The washer and dryer are in our basement and it's just waaaaay too cold to stand and fold down there.

I fold and hang the clothes directly out of the dryer. DH's dresser and a hanging rack for his dress clothes are right by the washer/dryer. Mine and dd's go into separate baskets that are taken upstairs once the laundry is done.

I hate leaving stuff in baskets that needs to be folded. I also can't stand to leave it in the basket when I take it upstairs. I like all my clean clothes in their proper place.

Smush them here! Our washer/dryer is in the garage. A very cold garage during the winter months. So I just throw them in the basket and take it over to the house to fold and put away. Although I have also been known to forget about the last load I had done. I still have clothes in the dryer from last Sunday that I haven't taken out yet

I pile them all on the dryer until they start falling off. Then I make my husband move them to the bedroom with the full intention of folding them.

Then it sits and sits and sits.

More laundry accumulates, I wash it, it comes out of the dryer and gets piled on top. When it is falling all over it gets move to the big pile in the bedroom.
...
Does it need to be said I despise laundry or has this become painfully obvious? ;)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I'm right there with you except I have 2 baskets of clothes that are basically a big pile. I don't mind the washing & drying but that folding kills me.

I tell ya' someone would be rich if they could make a home folding machine (NOT those cardboard ones you can get for shirts but a real machine you just throw the clothes in, push the button & the clothes get folded!). I KNOW it must exist in the large clothing manufacturing plant somewhere if they could just shrink it down for household use & it could go in the laundry area, we would be all set!

I put them in a basket but am careful not to smush them. ;) I then go straight to the bedroom and empty the basket on the bed to ensure they are not smushed, and fold them while watching TV.

This is what I do also.....this is my catching up on everything I have tivo'd time!

I fold in the laundry room. I have a large table that I stack them on, sorted by whos they are. Dh is a smasher. I swear he must jump up and down to get them all compressed in the basket, thus causing the most wrinkles possible. Oh, and if you put them in the basket while they are hot, they wrinkle even more. I think its his way of getting out of being asked to help with the laundry.

My big problem is getting the clothes taken upstairs and put away. They never seem to make it that far, and I'm thinking we could elminate a lot of furniture from the bedrooms. Who needs a dresser if you never put the clothes in it?

Same here!

I'm as pathetic as CantW8 (which is pretty pathetic). I fold them straight out of the dryer and hang anything that needs hanging right away. I have a rack over my washer and dryer that runs the length of the room so I keep my hangers there. But....my W&D is upstairs with the bedrooms so my trip is short. Whoever came up with the idea for a upstairs laundry room deserves some sort of prize.

I'm pretty lazy when it comes to folding laundry. I just take it out of the dryer and dump it in a big pile on the guest bed. Then they sit there for about a week until either they disappear from being picked through for towels and underwear or until my DH gets sick of the pile and folds it himself. :rolleyes1

I fold at the dryer, then put them away (I do this when I'm NOT on disboards, then hurry back).:wave2:

I do my clothes on my bed! :cool1:
