I had heard a while back that they were going to come out with outfits you can purchase for Pal Mickey....has anyone seen any of these in the shops yet?
The "official" (from Disney) rain poncho, pin trading, safari and tourist outfits will be available for sale this summer at WDW. Keep in mind that so far Disney seems to skimp on material in outfitting Mickey - - the HCOE Pal Mickey tux and AP and DVC t-shirts for him are quite small and tight!
Word is that Disney will be "borrowing" the safari outfit from Pooh for Pal Mickey. Hmmm . . . That's the same thing I did about a year ago! I guess it saves them the time and expense of designing and manufactring something specifically for him. I heard that even the HCOE tux was not really designed for him.
I was going through old threads I subscribed to and stumbled back on this one. Just wanted to say that the Pal Mickey clothes were delayed and their release date goal is now "for the holidays." So hopefully before Christmas they'll be available if there were no further problems with the supplier/product.
We picked up a Beary Christmas teddy bear shirt for our Pal Mickey from Michaels. It's very large on him, but it's like a sleep shirt, so it works well enough for us. At least he won't get sticky icky during the trip. Maggie
Yes, Michael's is a great source for Pal Mickey clothes!
Many of the outfits the Pals are wearing on PalMickey.net came from there, plus many outfits "borrowed" from other plush and there are a few people who have sewn entire wardrobes for their Pals.
I heard the Build A Bear clothes at Target fit him well since they are for the small bears. Anyone try these out? Can you still get these at Target? You can also get some really cute XXS puppy/dog sweaters in Christmas and other holidays on Ebay for around 3.99. I bought a bunch for my new puppy and they fit him great lol!
Target sometimes still has their build-a-bear clothes. They fit the original Pal pretty well (at least the shirts and most of the pants do), but are difficult to get on and off the new HCOE Pal because he is chunkier (bigger insides).
I like the regular Build-A-Bear for accessories, but the clothes are so big on him they give him the "hip-hop" look - LOL.
I've also bought shoes for him in infant departments at various stores, including Target and Walmart as well as major department stores. Infant Size 0, 1, or 2 works well, depending on the style.
