Closing Today! WooHoo!

Just found out that we are closing today and should be in the system at Dis by Tuesday. They have to get us in soon because we have points that are expiring. I am so excited!! It feels like it has taken forever, but really has only been about a month.

Jen, have fun making all those DVC reservations! I know you've been anxiously awaiting this time. We're closing on our VWL contract 9/10 but probably won't use any of these points until December 2005!

Anxious is right, and then we were supposed to close last week, but our seller had medical problems and was in the hospital so it gone postponed. So I felt guilty about being in such a hurry when I found out, but apparently he is OK. Yeah.

Congratulations!! I have a dumb question for you if you don't mind. How did you know you were closing today? We were supposed to close on 8-25 --all our paperwork and money was there on 8-23. Did someone call or email to say that closing was official? Thanks for your time and info!!! I am just a little impatient.

That must be nerve wracking with the points expiring! We have until March to use the 2003 points that were on our contract, and I felt rushed by that! Our paperwork got to Disney on Wednesday and we were in the system yesterday - so they seem to be very quick about it. Too bad it hit a weekend! Congrats and good luck!

We are with Jaki at Atimeshare.com. She is great and very prompt on getting back to me when I have a question. She called me last night to tell me all the papers were in from both sides and that they would call Dis today to get us in the system. I have found that although I feel like a pest, I just call whenever I think that I am going to explode from waiting, and Jaki doesn't mind. So if you are waiting to close, I would just call and see how things are going.

Well, I called to see if we closed on Wednesday like I had been told we would and found out we actually closed on Monday! Yahoo! I called Member Services today and we were in the system and so were our points!! I was able to make our ressies and bank the rest of the points!! We are really going HOME in November!
