Closing Time!

I do this too i dont care if I annoyed then especially in thst out of the ordinary situation
I just tried calling to speak to the office manager, and she’s in a meeting. The lady wanted to take a message. I said I’ll call back later. I have an email all typed up and ready to go lol from my agents lying to me, to this closing process taking another 3 weeks. There will be no availability for October for my trip 🙄🙄

I would have told that lady what was going on this is so ridiculous! Call them in an hour her meeting shouldn't take longer than that.

You need to be more aggressive they're not going to get mad and ruin the sale or anything like that trust me, because its not just about you getting what you want, they have a duty to the seller and they want their commission and a duty to you of course.

I was afraid to push back on my first title company too at first, but when it kept taking forever and I was pushed aside too I told them exactly how I felt and thats when the ball really got rolling.

I threatened to pull out and expressed how incredibly disappointed and frustrated I was with them.

Why should you have to tiptoe around this, this is your money and you chose them to handle it and they're not handling it and pushing you to the side I would be furious! I want to call them for you 🤣🤣

I didn’t even get a choice in the matter 😂😂😂 that’s what’s soooo frustrating. I signed my contract and then got an email from mason an hour later. I wasn’t given a choice lol I would have went with someone else. I also called the agency and wanted to speak to the office manager, but of course I got her voicemail. I doubt she will call me back. But I’m even frustrated with them because they didn’t even send it over to ROFR until a month later than what I was told in email, I called Disney myself, to find out what was going on. They said It wasnt sent until April 24th, but then when I reached back out to my agent AGAIN. she got back to me 3 days later and said I’m waiting to hear back from Disney I don’t know why it’s taking so long. Then 2 days later she texted me and said it passed.

It's time to send that email expressing how you feel 🫂

I just need to find the office managers email at the agency lol but the title company I have that one loaded and ready to go 🤪😂
Let me know when you find it since I might need it soon, too. Also, copy to the resale broker. They need to know that they might want to work with a different closing company going forward.

Yes CC her, the office manager got involved in mine as well and it was actually a really great thing, she validated me and explained everything going on to me. (This was magic Vacation title)

Okay so I got ahold of mason, the office manager did some investigating, and then she sent me an attached copy of the deed. I was never sent it or told it has been recorded. It apparently was done on the 4th but why hasn’t it been recorded. Do I contact Disney about it? lol
If you have a copy of the deed, it has been recorded. Ask the title company when they sent the final docs to Disney and email Disney members services and make sure they received everything they need to process your membership.

I guess my frustration also stems from lack of communication. I just got an email from the title agent, saying she apologizes, etc etc, if I have any other issues come to her directly. I tried, but you didn’t respond lol for days lol you never sent me a copy of my deed or let me know it was recorded. I’m not crazy right? lol out of all agent who listed the contract and the title company, the title comepany was the only one who responded back to me, occasionally, but even that took days. I’m not crazy right?? 😂😂😂

Typically when they email you it closes, they never email you too to let you know the deed recorded as well. That is public record and can be found yourself the next day after closing by looking at the OC comptroller website.

Youre not crazy to be upset about lack of communication, being blown off is not cool. Mine was more communication and things said that were not followed thru.

Either way, both is unacceptable. A new person wouldnt know to look the next day for a recorded deed most likely. It should be communicated, but the standard is much lower when buying a house than a timeshare I quickly learned.

Wow I am really stunned that multiple people are having issues with Mason, but yours more pertain to the sellers dragging their feet or is it them too?
I think it's both. The first set of paperwork sent to me was populated wrong. The parts that had my name would only allow me to sign my husband's name and vice versa. It took a couple days to get the "fixed" paperwork. So, maybe the sellers had the same problem. At any rate, I'm busy with travel this week and I don't plan on dealing with it until next week. I want to pull the plug and just buy some more direct, but my husband says I should be more patient and not to blow my top.

Im so sorry you're going through this. I am going to refrain from recommending them or at least put a disclaimer that multiple people have had issues lately even though it hasn't been my personal experience. When does the contract need to close by?

My closing date on the original contract says June 23. I can't access the rest of the paperwork until all parties have signed. I'm unable to read what my recourse is, but I have no problem paying an attorney to write a demand letter if need be.

I like the fighting spirit haha! But in all seriousness, I didn’t think I could see anything either, I went back through my emails and saw that they sent attachments. I have been very frustrated during this process as well. I was about to blow the lid myself. I really feel your pain
