Previous resale purchase, I waited for the points to show up. This time, because I had banked points and was about 8 months away from them expiring, I used chat and asked them to load the points; this was a couple of days after my contract showed up. We all know that VGC is very difficult to book in the 7 month window, but at 8 months away, I was able to book my first VGC trip with those points. I know that I could have used the points at any of the O14 resorts, but I bought VGC to stay primarily at VGC.

* I inadvertently delayed the process a day or two. The title company had initially given me a closing date of mid November so I didn't wire funds right away because I figured I would wait until just before closing to keep accruing interest in our HYSA. When I found out they could schedule the closing as soon as the funds were wired, I sent the wire right away.

Did you have to reach out to get your Member ID email? I got the activation code a week ago but still waiting to get an email with Member ID.

When you're looking at your dashboard, if you have a 2nd contract (same resort different UYs, or different resorts) where does that show up? How do you navigate between contracts? Can anyone post a screenshot of what this looks like, or where you have to click to toggle between contracts (if that's something you have to do.) I should have a contract for the same resort, different UY [hopefully] loading by the end of next week and want to know where to be checking for it.

Also, a quick holding points timeline question: if I have a stay starting Jan 9th, and want to modify to use banked points (if our new contract loads soon enough) I need to do this before Dec 9th, or could I also modify on Dec 9th and not have points go into holding?

You have to click the blue "manage vacation points" if the contracts are within the same UY to view them separately. If different UY they will be listed separate on dashboard.

I added a contract for a different resort and UY recently. When I logged onto the DVC website I saw information for that membership on the first screen (the one that says “Welcome Back Home!). For each UY you will have a separate membership number. There is a toggle to move between them at the top left of the screen.

This is my first DVC contract. I originally had a cash booking for late-February and decided that DVC made more sense. There was some trepidation about DVC rooms still being available for the dates that I needed, but sure enough, a one bedroom savannah view at Kidani Village was still available. I'm glad that there were still some decent options three months out (won't make a habit of it though).

DVC Title and Escrow moved everything along at light speed.

When my DVC account was activated, but points didn't post yet, I asked a cast member to expedite via chat. They didn't work any magic and just told me to wait a few days. It only ended up taking about 24 hours, so it's not a big deal.

I did not chat, I waited for them to show up as I wasn’t in a hurry. My window for booking doesn’t open until Dec 30! I was surprised how quickly they loaded even with the holiday.
