Wow! My VGF contract is showing in my dashboard as of tonight! I checked several times today and figured it wouldn't be showing up and then suddenly tonight it is there!

Just heard yesterday that the deed was recorded. Looking forward to seeing the contract in my DVC dashboard!

How did you get your contract showing so quickly after the deed was recorded? My recent OKW purchase was recorded 12/26 and there’s still nothing showing on my membership…

Good question. I was wondering that myself. The closing company sent me an email on 1/2/25 saying that the purchase was closed and the deed was recorded. So, I assumed that was the date, but I just did a records search on the Orange County site and it shows the actual date that the deed was recorded was 12/23/24. Here is the correct timeline:

Did you contact the title company and tell them that DVC is saying they don’t have it?

They should be able to send it to them again, assuming they did send it.

The title company sends things to the county to record and to DVC. So, just seeing it in OCC doesn’t mean that something happened and your info didn’t go to DVC like it should have gone.

I feel for you! That is frustrating when you are getting so close to the 7-month window. Fingers crossed your contract shows up in your dashoard today! Also, if you call in once you see your contract they probably can get your points loaded right away. At least they did for me when I called the next day after I saw my contract. I've read on the DisBoards that others have done this and got that tip from here.

So, I was able to reach someone in Member Administration by email. He located my OKW contract, and they only received it on 12/30, but, since he was looking he also found my BRV that they just received today, and linked them together so that they can do both at once. I’m hopeful that they will get to them soon, before there’s absolutely no hope of a BRV reservation for early December. Between the two contracts, I have three stays to book that are all at or close to their ideal booking date.

The stress and requirement for patience of buying resale is why after the last resale I swore we were only doing direct for any other points. It’s just I really don’t like any of the newer direct offerings, and the direct prices for older resorts are just insane. Although DH says we are done, I’ve spent my PIT-intended funds on resale, so I should stop looking at contracts. I really don’t need more points, I just can’t help looking…

Closing company and broker have both been very good on this. Interestingly, I had an email from the closing company asking me to confirm when points are loaded as they will hold on to the funds until I have confirmed. Excellent! I don’t think there are many that do this.

Late update. The deed was recorded incorrectly and caught by Disney. I was not notified until I called the title company almost 30 days after original recording (I was trying to be patient). A correction deed had to be notarized, which delayed everything. I understand mistakes happen, but it soured me on the entire process as a first time buyer, plus I missed my 7 month window for the trip we had planned so unfortunately I am sitting on a wait list which doesn't look likely. Not a great start as a new DVC member

Yes only TRCS does this. The timeframe they have done for you is really great, typically they are 2-3x that long
