We are heading to the World for Xmas!!! :cool1: We like to park hop. Is there a possibility that parks will close due to attendance and therefore we can't hop? I was planning to book dinner at a second park but didn't know if we could be turned away. We are staying at Wilderness Lodge Dec. 20-26.Thanks

Yes, especially starting on Christmas Day.

We will be there too! 12/20-12/28, OKW. Tomorrow is my dining ADR date and I can already tell dinner times will be hard to come by. We may just go lunch table service if any. This will be our third time at Christmas, I agree with the above poster, parks will be closed to capacity. We found this the last time two years ago. Just go early and as long as you can stand it. Don't have your heart completely set on the dinner reservation at a second park. Maybe think about lunch time table service as your nice meal? Anyway you decide have a great trip!

While capacity closures are likely starting on Xmas Eve, you are staying at a WDW Resort, which means that you will be among the last to be turned away. Basically, capacity closures occur in phases (more on that HERE) with Disney Resort Guests only being turned away at phase 4. Now, I cannot recall a time when the park hit phase 4 (three is the most common) but it's not entirely impossible. If I had to bet, I'd say you'll be fine but have a backup plan just in case.

We go over Christmas too. We don't change parks Christmas Eve or day, just to busy and takes to much time. Magic kingdom will close and reopen throughout the day. I have never seen Epcot close.

Could you be turned away? yes

If you want to play the odds, MK will most likely hit capacity first. Epcot rarely hits a total phase 4 closure simply due to size but it's not like it never does/did. DHS is smaller so it can't handle as many people BUT it is less popular...

If you want to plan on hopping just keep an eye on all the reports (twitter feeds to your smartphone?). Closings will hit in stages so it's not as if a park will be open one minute & totally closed another.
