Closet without a door?

I've used sheets before. The nice thing about it is that they are all ready sewn up for the rod.

Maybe a bi-fold mirrored door? You can never have too many mirrors in a bathroom.
Another way to store bedding is to fold or roll it and put everything inside one pillowcase.

Sorry to hijack. Penny, your PM box is full. I have your request ready.

I have a very long closet and it did have closet doors but they were always getting stuck and I could never reach in the middle because the doors were so big. So I took off the doors put up a curtain rod and three curtain panels to match the ones on my window. It looks good! The curtains are kinda sheer but not horribly sheer they still hide the clutter.

I just don't think I would like a closet without a door, particularly in a new house. It just seems so unfinished to me.

Wow! That sure is some closet.

For me if the closet is in the bedroom it must have a door and any time I am in the bed the door MUST be closed.

Another thought might be swinging saloon type doors. I don't know if that would work in your case or not, but it might be cute and help hide the clutter. I don't think I'd be happy without a door on all my closets or at least a curtain of some sort.

I have a really small house, so the closets are small. I took the doors off and on my DD's closet I got the really long curtains from IKEA and for my DS's I used a shower curtain with an underwater theme to match his room.

It's not really my thing but their friends love it and it makes it much easier to see and get to everything.

I know Pottery Barn Kids had the hanging beads for boys with a fish pattern on it a while back.

My girls room closets is door less. We were planning on put bi folds on them, but my girls are young and those are just finger pinchers waiting to happen.

So my MIL sewed curtains and we put them on sliver shower curtain holders on a rod. My kids love it.

If they get older and want doors, or if we move and doors are needed to sell the house we can add them easily.

The girls do spend a lot of time playing in the closets for now. The use them as dressing rooms. :)

The closet doors in both of the kids rooms kept coming off track all the time.. so I took them down.. In my sons room I went to Spencers and bought a bamboo curtain.. its very cool... For the girls room I also went to spencers and bought a multi colored bead curtain.. Behind it I had 2 flat sheets made into a curtain.. someone I know sews so she took the flat sheets and made hems and made a little spot where a curtain rod can slide right in there and then I put a curtain rod on the inside of the closet where it cant be seen.. Their rooms came out real cute.. The curtain hides the clothes and any mess but the beads dresses the room up..
