Closest to MGM?

Which resorts are within walking distance of MGM? We might be able to squeeze in one day in December and I don't want to waste a lot of time going back and forth. Thanks...

Boardwalk
Swan/Dolphin

You can also take a boat over to MGM.

The Boardwalk is technically the closest, but a lot of it depends on where your room is. The Swan is just a few minutes from the Boardwalk and not too much farther if you're walking. The Swan/Dolphin dock is also the first to drop off and the last to pick up on the boat route, so you will save some time there. We stay at the Swan because of the great discounts, but the Boardwalk also looks very nice.

The Beach Club is the farthest resort from MGM with a walking distance of about 20-25 minutes.

Not sure if you considered DVC point renting for Boardwalk Villas. They are probably the closest walking distance to MGM. If you go out the back side you actually can pick up the boat at the Swan Dolphin dock. The points in December for a studio (sleeps 4) range from 9 to 12 points a night. That equates to $90- $120 per night straight fee. (no tax on that) OF course this would be the price if you find someone to rent from at $10 per point. You could find someone lower. Also that would depend on whether there are rooms for your date. Just a thought. It is one of the cheapest ways to get to stay at the Epcot resorts. you can rent at the Beach Club villas but they are furthest from MGM and Closest to Epcot.
