Closest Resort to Epcot Parking Lot?

This sounds a little strange, but can anyone tell me which resort is easiest to get to/closest to the Epcot parking lot? We are renting a stroller from an outside company that needs to be returned to a resort. We are spending the day at the park, then driving home that night, so we need to drop it off before we head out. We'll be at Epcot that day and we'll be going home on I-4.

Thanks!

Well, any of the Epcot resorts (BoardWalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club) would be a very quick drive, BUT the question is, will they be willing to let you drop off a stroller if you are not a guest there? I'm guessing the answer is NO.

My guess is that their attitude will be, "Why should we take on the hassles and liability of accepting a stroller and handing it off to the rental company, when you aren't even staying here?"

Maybe a big tip would make it worthwhile to an individual bell services person, but I'm betting the policy would be not to accept outside baggage/items of any kind.

Most likely you're going to have to return it to the resort where you're staying.

Why wouldn't you call the rental company to see what type of arrangement you could make for the return. I would think you would want to get some sort of receipt that the stroller was returned and in good condition to avoid any future liability on your part. What proof would you have that they ever received the stroller from anywhere you might leave it.
Seems pretty irresponsible to just leave it at a resort, I don't think anyone there would be willing to be responsible for it.

I'm going to answer the OP's question, though I agree with the others that it's mighty odd for a rental company to want a stroller left at a resort, and that any resort would probably not appreciate having to be responsible for it.

But anyway, the closest resorts to the EPCOT parking lot are Old Key West and Port Orleans French Quarter. Just get on Buena Vista Drive going east, cross over a small creek, get on Bonnet Creek Pkwy. headed north, and both resorts are to the right on that road.

Thanks for the help. The stroller companies actually drop off and pick up from resorts only. I wish there was another option.

I'm not asking the resort to be responsible for the stroller if it should go missing or be damaged. It would be like checking any other piece of baggage. They give you a receipt that they received it. We purchase insurance for the stroller should anything go wrong while we have it or before the company picks it up, so no liability for the resort.

We are staying onsite, I was just thinking it would be easier to take it to a resort on the way out. We've picked/dropped off a rental stroller with the bag check before and it was never a big deal at all. They didn't ask if we were staying there, but I don't see how it would be an issue at all. :confused3

If they'll do it, then go for it.

The resorts I mentioned above are definitely the closest to the EPCOT parking lot, but frankly I can't remember if you would even get to Buena Vista Drive before seeing signs for the EPCOT area deluxe resorts (BC/YC, BWI, S/D). If you see signs for those, then that may be a little easier than to go over to POFQ or OKW.

Thanks again!

After all this drama, I think it might just be easier to buy a double stroller! I found a nice one on craigslist. We have 2 trips planned and the same drop off issue bith times, so this might be the easier (and cheaper) way to go.

I appreciate the help though...:)

You mentioned that you are staying onsite, so you might also ask the desk/bag check at your onsite hotel about dropping off and checking the bag at another onsite hotel/resort. Since you were an onsite guest, i'm assuming you might have less trouble doing what you need to do than someone who was staying offsite.

POFQ would probably be the easiest. The Epcot resorts are actually quite a ways from Epcot Center Drive.

After you merge onto Epcot Center Drive, take the right exit that's marked "All Guest Areas", and turn left at the first light, then left again after crossing the bridge. POFQ will be on the right after you go thru another light.

but the baby in your avatar is just so adorable!!!
