Closest place outside the resort to get a bottle of wine?

We are going to DLR in Feb and staying at the Park Vue Inn, which is right near the main entrance. I would like to find a store nearby that sells wine/beer to enjoy in out hotel room. We will not have a car and would prefer something that is walking distance.

Is there any convenience stores or anything nearby that can help me out??

On the corner of Katella and Harbor right past the Candy Cane there is a convenience store (not sure if it's a 7-11 or not), but I'm pretty sure it sells alcohol.

First off, welcome to the DIS boards.

Now, there are all kinds of little convenience stores in most of the motels right along that area. I even think Park Vue has one. But I've never looked for wine, so I'm not really sure if they have it or not.


Just re-read that you are looking for beer also. I've gotten beer at one of them, I just don't remember which. But you'll be able to find something I'm sure.

CanadianZ… I had the same question but never posted it! I’m traveling with my mother…who is a young 75yo. She will not be visiting the parks at night. We will be sitting on the balcony sipping wine and people watching.

What I have come up with is to order through a chain store that delivers. I found out that there’s an “Albertsons” in the area somewhere. You can order online and the delivery fee is $9.95. If you want to just take a look at what they have, go to their website and in the upper right hand corner there is a green box that says “SHOP ONLINE”. In that box is a place that you can click on that says “Browse Our online Store”. The next popup has the areas that deliver. One is “Los Angeles/Orange County/Ventura”. Next popup go to “Shop A to Z” at the top of the page. Pick “W” for wine. You will have several items to pick from to find the wine you would like to order.

Yes, there's a 7-11 on the corner, and between the 7-11 and Candy Cane there is an ABC Mart. One or both of those should have wine.

The hotel usually has a litlle convenience store that you can buy also. If they don't than another hotel on the way should. You don't have to be staying at the hotel to purchase their stuff.
My husband loves that his favorite beer is always a hop skip and jump away from him when we stay at the hotel. He loves the lil shops.

Actually, its called ABC store, like the ones in Hawaii... If you want 7-11 it is farther away down Anahiem and Katella. Id say food for Less down Katella and Euclid...

Quite a few of the stores along Harbor carry beer and wine. It is very easy to find....

We stayed at the Best Western Park Place Inn which I think is next door to the Park Vue. The hotel right next door on the other side of the BWPPI sold beer and wine in their little shop. It's a 2 minute walk if that with toddlers so not far at all.
