Closest off-site hotels?

There are so many that say "at entrance" and on different streets. So,what are the closest to Disney?

Since WDW is so huge, I am sure there iis more than one answer to this. But I'd say that any of the DTD hotels on Hotel Plaza Boulevard would be the closest.

I agree with Ted and Holly. DTD hotels are right next to DTD which is still disney property.

if you want close to the parks - then the Kissimmee area is closer - Holiday Inn (use to be black lake) Maingate West is less than a mile from the AK.

the Holiday Inn West - on the corner of Black Lake Road and Sherberth Road.

Sherberth Road goes into WDW property at the light in front AKL.

I guess DD would quality as East?

Holiday Inn Nikki Bird is just one mile and so very east to get to WDW

Caribe Royale is literally 2min. away and is an awsome hotel.

There's no single answer to this question. There are several ways to get onto WDW property and every single entrance has a plethera of hotels very nearby. Driving an extra block or two, or even a mile won't make much of a difference.

The hotels on 192 in Kissimmee are the closest to a Disney gate, some are half a mile, but you can't walk to Disney.

The hotels in DTD, or across the street are at least walking distance to DTD. You could end your night in PI and then take an inexpensive cab or a walk to your hotel.

Once you need to drive or take a bus does it really matter if a hotel is a mile or two closer?

Nickelodeon Suites (formerly Holiday Inn Family Suites) is REALLY close to the WDW main gate.
