Does anyone know which on-site resort is the closest to the airport? I need to get to the closest one as fast as I can when I arrive to pick up tickets. Thanks!

The closest would probably be any Downtown Disney Hotels, but I think that you can get tickets @ the Disney Store. Isn't there one @ the airport?

Sorry I wasn't more clear! I want to pick up Luau tickets and am staying offsite. They said I could pick up at any Disney hotel. I am assuming they meant on-site hotel...

Which hotels are downtown disney hotels?

Thanks for the quick response!

Downtown Disney hotels are

Best Western, Courtyard By Marriot, Grosvenor, Hilton, Lake Buena Vista Hotel, Doubletree Guest Suites. I think there may be another one, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. These hotels are located near Downtown Disney. here is an entrance off of 192 to the street that these hotels are on. I know that they have guest relations windows, but I don't know if you can get luau tickets at their windows. You may try getting your tickets on the day you go to MK. Park @ TTC and walk (less than 5 minute walk) to the Polynesian front desk to pick up your tickets. You can then take the monorail or boat to the MK.

Let's take this one step at a time. First, no on-site WDW hotel is close to the airport. The airport is 25 miles away from WDW.

Why do you need to get the tickets quickly? Is your reservation for the same night as your arrival? I'm also not certain that you can pick up the tickets at any hotel if you are not staying at that hotel. You can give it a try, but I'd be prepared that you might have to go to the Poly and get the tickets. If you wanted to skip that step, I'd just start out by going to the Poly and getting the tickets.

If you want to try another Disney resort to pick up the tickets, I'd go for one that is either near where you are staying or near one of the parks. If you are at MK, you could board the monorail and head to the Poly. If you are at Epcot or MGM, you could head over to the BW or Y&B.

Sorry, I'm not really good at this! I will be staying at the Marriott World Center (offsite).

When I got my priority seating for the Luau, they said I could pick up my tickets 7 days in advance at any Disney hotel guest services. I will only be arriving 3 days in advance and since I am thinking that the sooner you pick up tickets the better seating you get, I want to go directly from the airport to a Disney hotel, pick up the Luau tickets and then go and check in at the Marriott.

So I am trying to find the nearest Disney hotel just to shave a few minutes off the drive from the airport (I'd hate to pick the farthest hotel and then have to drive all the way through the disney property since it is sooo big!

It is a quick trip with my husband who has a conference and so we will not even be going to the parks so there are no park tickets to get.

Thanks for your help!

The Marriott World Center is going to be a pretty long drive from any WDW resort hotel. Far enough, in fact, I think I'd just go ahead and check in at the Mariott first. Also, I'm wondering about passing by car or taxi through the security gate just to visit guest services? I wonder if there is any way for guest services in the Downtown Disney Marketplace to help you?

Depending on which entrance to WDW you use, the Caribbean Beach Resort or Boardwalk may the among the more convenient WDW resorts. I'd suggest you might as well go with Boardwalk; you may even want to take the time to visit some of it's shops and restaurants.

I agree. CBR or BW would be the easiest and closest to the Marriott. However, since they said any hotel, I'd just pop in whenever it was convenient for you as you pass a hotel. Seating is not based at all on when you pick up the tickets. It is based on when you make your reservation. So, there's no need to rush the pick up.

Have a wonderful trip.

When we went to the Luau last year the seats were not assigned, nor was it a mad rush like the Backyard BBQ. The CMs just began seating groups and being 1st in line didn't get you the best seat. They started filling the seats furthest from the entrance. We were in the middle of the pack and got to sit at a table center stage.

PamOKW is right. Seating is based on when you purchase your tickets, not when you pick them up. Just get them when you can.

Corndog.....I was very surprised to hear that the seats were not assigned!
We have been told by CRO that the seats are assigned at time of reservation.
I just may have to call and verify this!

Diamond_Girls.......why the rush to pick up tickets??
I would just suggest to leave yourself about 20 to 30 minutes extra before the show to just pick up the tickets then.
Maybe when you arrive at the Marriot, call just to verify the reservation if that would put your mind at ease.
