Does anyone know the closest Catholic Church to the Downtown Disney Area? I found a listing on www.masstimes.org, but there are so many and I don't know which is closest. Thanks!

I don't know about offsite churches but I do know that the Polynesian hosts 2 masses on Sunday morning. I believe the times are 8:00 and 10:30. You can verify the times by calling the resort. If you aren't offended by people showing up in park clothes, it's really very nice. If you plan far enough in advance, you can make breakfast/brunch reservations at the resort or just grab transportation to your park destination. One tip, if you decide to go, try to arrive a little early if you want to sit in the shade. Mass is held in the dinner show facility and only the back portion of it is covered.

I thought they got rid of the mass at the polynesian, I may have to check that out!

There is a catholic church and shrine right beside the Buena Vista outlets. Just down the street from Cross Roads, and really close to Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede.

edited for closest church: Checked out the link. this one is the one I'm talking about. http://www.masstimes.org/dotNet/showchurch.aspx?id=14282
Thanks! I appreciate it. There were so many on mass times, I had no idea which was closest.

Mary Queen of the Universe is the closest. We went for Easter Sunday and it is a really pretty church

I did some checking and you were right about the Poly not having mass any more. a l l e a r s n e t.c o m (remove spaces) has a link for church services. Sorry to lead you astray.
