What is the closest buffet to Pop Century via the bus. Ill be alone for a few days before my sister comes in. It might end up being two or three days. Doesn't have to be character dining either.

You can only go to the parks/ downtown disney via the buses, so I guess a park buffet (either mk or epcot) would be the closest... unless you go to one of the parks to get to another resort like (beach club cape may)

No you can actually drive to the parks if you have a car or take a cab.

Anyone else have a suggestion besides that lol

Pop Century isn't too far from AK, you could take the bus there, transfer to an AKLodge bus and eat at Boma. Or take a bus to MK and get on the resort monorail line for Ohana(Poly, family style) or 1900 Park Fare(GF). Hope you have a wonderful trip! I really wouldn't mind a night or 2 by myself at DW!:goodvibes

There are no park buffets. Akerhaus has an "appetizer" buffet then you order off the menu.
I would think going to MK via bus and then Monorail or boat to GF for 1900 Park Faire would be a good bet. Or as PP suggested bus to AK and then bus to AKL for Boma
I always budget for a few taxis for resort to resort meals. I save over months and have the cash set aside.
Good Luck

Last I checked, Tusker House, Crystal Palace and Hollywood and Vine each were buffets and each were in a park.

For the most part those are going to be the quickest to get to since they dont require a transfer to another bus (OP, in your opening post you said the closest "via the bus"). Chef Mickey's is probably faster to get to than CP since I think the walk from the bus to CM is shorter than the walk from the bus to CP.

The OP specifically stated that he/she was going by bus:

What is the closest buffet to Pop Century via the bus.

So I don't think driving is an option.

The OP made the comment you quoted.

None of the resort buses go straight from one resort to another, so unless you're planning on park entry, you will have to transfer at a park to get to any other resort. Unless, of course you're staying at one of the resorts that shares buses (of which Pop Century is not - ETA: concerning buffets) but this changes, so it's not strictly plannable AND you can get between all the resorts that share buses with a different method of transportation (ie Beach Club & Boardwalk share, but you can also walk and take the boat)

For this reason, proximity is difficult to calculate.
The closest Deluxe resort (where all the non-park buffets are) to Pop Century is the Animal Kingdom Lodge (Boma is a buffet there). The only way to get there, unless you drive yourself or take a cab, is to take a bus to a park (AK would be most convenient) and transfer to a different bus. This could easily take an hour.
Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom would probably be easier to get to.

ETA: Chef Mickey's is probably the "easiest" buffet to get to on the bus from Pop Century, because you can take the bus to the Magic Kingdom, then walk the 10 minutes or so to the Contemporary resort. It depends on how you define "easy."

Whoa!!!!!

Um to answer the question to the OP Holywood and Vine would be the closest buffet in relation to POP Century VIA Bus. Its in HS

So much drama over such a simple question. It probably would have been a little easier if the OP had expressed a preference for an in-park or resort buffet.

So, the CLOSEST buffet, by WDW bus:

1. In Park: Tusker House at AK.

2. Resort: Boma at AKL

How do you figure AK is closer to POP Century than HS? I agree with you about the Resort Buffet becasue you can take a Bus to AK and then Bus to AKL in order to go to Boma, but isnt Hollywood Studios closer to POP than AK? Which would make Hollywood and Vine the "closest buffet"?

You are correct- my mistake. According to Google maps AK is 4.6 miles and 10 minutes from Pop. DHS is 3 miles and 9 minutes from Pop. Of course this also doesn't take into account walking distance from the bus stop to the restaurant.

WOW i knew id get the information i wanted from you guys LOL. Didnt mean to start a debate though lol.

Im really not sure where i want to eat, i was just hoping there was one close to the hotel. If i have the DDP i may just end up doing something signature for that night. Who knows so many possibilities so many darn options lol.

I personally feel very awkward in character dining when im all alone.
