Closed - thanks for the help!

We are thinking of visiting WDW November 27 - Dec 1. How are the crowds at this time? Are there any special events that we should be aware of?

Any advice is greatly appreciated. We are on the fence but I REALLY want to visit Mickey during the holidays :)

Traditionally the tuesday after thanksgiving to the friday before christmas is the slowest time of the year. It has been getting a little busier though. There are no big special events that will affect park traffic significantly. I think when you are going there might be a pop warner football tourney on the property but that will not be a big deal in terms of park affect.

You can expect light crowds which means that you will have little to no wait on most rides and attractions with the occasional backup on some of the more popular rides. Don' t be afraid to use fastpass liberally but if you plan right you should walk onto most rides in under 15 minutes - usually less.

One more thing:

If you have not done your dinner reservations yet and are planning to eat at table service places you had better do that ASAP. Some will already be booked solid.

Also - if you are not a vet at wdw I suggest going to the bookstore and reading up on some things - there will be a whole wdw section full of tips and ideas to help you plan.

I think it is the best week of the year to go. The Christmas decorations are up, and the crowds are relatively light. We have been lucky enough to swim also.

I wish we could go then, but we all have school now!

we are going the same time as you are and we went the same time last year. We had the best time. I notice that you were arriving on the 27th. That is a MVMCP night so you might want to check that out. The wait times were low and you should make ADRs. Last year we did not have adr for alot of rest. and we were still able to get Le Cellier, the eatery in France and in Mexico, and DTD (2 times)

We went this time last year also. No one has mentioned the Osbourne Lights at MGM. Definately check this out but be prepared for crowds here. Also, the first weekend in Dec. is the Christmas parade taping in MK. I noticed you said you would be there through Dec. 1. AVOID this park that day---total madness!!:scared1:
Nov. 27-29 shouldn't be too bad. We saw crowds pick up the end of the week. I think the Pop warner crowds that a PP mentioned won't be there until the first week of Dec.
Enjoy your trip!! The Christmas decorations are beautiful!! Search these boards for many tips and must sees!!! Have Fun!!:)

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. It sounds like this is a good week to visit (yeah!!!) and I better get on the dining reservations ASAP.

Thanks again!
