We are going to be at POFQ in just a couple of weeks. I just thought that I would check in and see if this design has changed since I last looked. We have ones like this from our last trip in August 2009 and were hoping to see a new design for our souvenier collection. Anybody have any news?

Question... we have a trip in September and we have the free counter service. With that each person gets a refillable mug. Does my niece who is 4 years old get a mug too? She got the free dining plan also.
Yes, everyone over the age of 3 on the QSDP gets dining credits and a mug.

We got back on Sunday from POFQ and those were the mugs. funny thing though, the pictures that the show above the cooking sections still has the mug from last year with the white bottom half way up and the mickey pattern on the top half.

those are the mugs we have and we didn't buy the new ones. we only were in the beverage station once anyways.

if they had totally changed the mug or went back to resort specific mugs we'd have bought them but there's no point collecting the same or darn near the same mugs trip after trip

Thanks for the up-to-date info. I notice that you were staying at POFQ. How was it? We will be there in less than two weeks....can't wait.

it was great. we were in building 5 on the 3rd floor and had a wonderful full view of the river and every sunrise.

the pool was ok. we actually perfered Riverside and after the first day we just hopped on the boat and headed over there for our swims. the slide is sooooooooo much better, faster, longer, interesting and fun.

hopefully when you're there it wont be as hot and you'll be able to explore the resorts. we didn't have a chance to and i wish we did

Hello all! I will be heading to Disney, staying at CBR in 8 days! We stayed there last August also and bought 4 refillable mugs. Should I plan on buying 4 new ones next week or maybe just bring the ones we bought last year? Do people do this? Can someone point me to a picture of exactly what mugs are being sold right now? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time!

Yes, you should plan on buying new mugs (see the first post in this thread :)).

Look up on this page, at posts 241 and 243, to see the mugs that are being sold now.

People on here get excited about the rules. But in all reality no one will say anything to you about the mug usage. Last time I was @ Pop I was waiting for the food court to open in the morning, ae people were standing there with foam coffe cups, they went right in and filled the non-refillable foam coffee cup.the rules are to purchase a new mug every visit. But I don't. I buy new everytime they put out a new one.

They had white bottoms last year, this year the design goes all the way around.

Ah, we were at ASMu last August and ours do not have the white bottom - they have the pattern all the way through the mug like in post 241. This is why I am confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The two different Celebration mugs;

Quoting myself, I don't count the one with just a small band of white as the white bottom, these two mugs, the bottoms are obviously different. The one with the white bottom is from last fall, the one with the design all the way down is from this April.

I was last at Disney in September 2009, and I actually have the mug with the design all the way to the bottom, so those have been around for almost a year now for sure.

I am fully aware of the great mug debate and the "rules", but I REALLY cannot see buying new ones if they are still exactly the same when we go this year as they were last year. That just seems really wasteful. I absolutely would have no problem with buying a new design, but will most likely NOT buy new ones if they have not changed. I miss the resort specific mugs too, but I'm sure its MUCH cheaper for Disney to buy bulk amounts of the same generic mug.

This is what I am saying - last August we got the ones with the design to the bottom too.:wizard:

because the regular dining plan includes a drink with every CS and TS meal. it is geared towards people who want a sit-down meal every day, and is more expensive.
for those on the go, the quick service is cheaper. I just wish they had made it cheaper still, adn NOT included the mug. (we drive, and can bring our own drinks)
I would like to see a Dining Plan fashioned after the "magic Your Way Tickets". it would be complicated, (but then, so is the magic your way packages, and we all adjusted to that!)but you could purchase how ever many "credits" you choose. and use them however you like, for the duration of your stay. whether you chose to use them on Signature restaurants, other Table service restaurants, Counter service restaurants, snacks, or mugs. it would be YOUR choice.....and then we could al go see the fairy princess together!

According to disneyworld.com you do get a single serving beverage with every meal on the QS plan!

No problem there. You'll just need to pay individually for each of your beverages. Disney won't mind that either. You just won't be able to reuse those old mugs.

I have Wilderness Lodge Mugs that don't have anything printed on them about "length of stay" etc.. I also have newer mugs that explicitly state on the mug that it is for the length of stay.
I am going with my old WL mugs as I recall them being "forever refills" and if they weren't, they should have stated that on the mug. Also, we're staying at the WL this trip!
Should I expect any CM pushback?
