Hi -

I recently started considering buying DVC and thought if I could rent points for my upcoming trip I could get an idea of if it is for me. I would be interested in a Studio from 8/30 through 9/7/09 (116 - 118 points). My dates are not flexible since airfare is already purchased. I currently have a ressie for 8/28 - 9/7 at AKL. If I rent points, it cannot cost me more than my existing ressie so I'm looking for a reasonable rental. Since I am new to renting points, I would like it to be from someone with rental references and/or that has been on the boards for a while.

I would keep the first two days of my existing ressie (8/28 & 8/29) since weekends are such high points. I don't know if I could even get something this close to my travel dates?? Since I am already changing rooms once, I am not willing to split up the DVC ressie. My final payment to WDTC for my existing ressie is 7/14 which means I need to get this together ASAP.

My order of preference in resorts is:
Bay Lake Towers - Standard View 118 points (it's my bday trip so a girl can dream, right? )
AKV - Savanah View 116 points
Beach Club Villas - 118 points
VWL - 118 points
Boardwalk Villas - Any view, I'm not sure of the difference??? Standard 98 points, preferred 118

SSR and OKW are the only resorts that have the whole week available.
AKW, VWL you would have to check out on the 6th.

Thanks for checking! I don't want to move for the last night, that would be 3 times in one trip, too much. It would be a little higher points for me but what if I did my first 7 nights with DVC and then I could use my existing ressie for the last 3 nights. So 8/28/09 - 9/4/09 instead.

My new order of choices would be for a studio at:

VWL
BCV
AKL - Savanah View
BWV

Paypal is fine. Does the $10/point include the paypal fees or would that be in addition? I see you just joined DIS....do you have rental references?

I do not have any rental references, as this is the first time we have tried to rent our points. If you email me, I would be willing to provide you with some personal references. I will check these dates and get back to you.
