Have a trip planned the first week of December. Booked the rooms at the annual pass rate. Planning on canceling if I can use my points. Do you think I will be in the computer by that time? My deed is on the comptroller website. Haven't called member services yet cause it hasn't been 2 weeks and don't wanna bother them. But my family and I have been having difficulty with USPS delivering all our mail. On a side note i found it funny that I purchased this from someone who lives 20 min from me

Early December has become arguably the most popular time at DVC resorts. I highly doubt there would be much left to choose from five weeks out. You might find a night hear or there, but to use points, you'd probably have to move rooms every night or two. I'd plan to keep your AP room.

There is no way you will be able to book your stay on points. Most members booked that week 11 months out. And there are many waitlists for the week.

Reservation availability changes by the second with owners booking and canceling with MS and now online. Wait lists are not published so we have no idea how many are waiting ahead of us.

Availability threads are only as good as the posts and can't compare to the real world.

The DIS Board moderators asked DISers to ignore those boards when online booking started since that is a lot more accurate than that board. The top sticky thread on that board shows that the board was closed in Feb 2012.
