Closed on 10/25. Today marks 2 weeks. Still havent received membership number. How much longer? Whats the average? email said 14-28 days. We are planning on booking for late june, hopefully we make it!

you should call member services and see if they have an update as the computers get updated way before they send out membership cards

We used The Timeshare Store and our contract closed on Oct 16 and we received our membership number on Nov. 4. The points were held up somewhere within Disney and I had to have Magic Vacation Title look into the problem and we got our points in our account yesterday. Still waiting for our actual membership cards to arrive.

Disney...or DVC...drags their feet as much as possible since they'd prefer you to buy direct. It takes them about 2 weeks to load the points and then another week passes before your member # letter arrives by mail. 3 weeks from closing typically but it could even stretch out to 4 weeks. Some folks used to have luck calling MS or member admin (after the 2 weeks to load) to get member # by phone but that hasn't been working anymore.

Of that delay time Disney is responsible for about 55 days.
