Once we closed, we were not in the system for approx. 5-6 days. Here are the instructions we got from Jaki and **** once we closed:
"INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET YOUR NEW MEMBERSHIP NUMBER
Please wait approx. 7-10 days to do the following steps. This is the usual amount of time it takes Disney to make a transfer. If you call a head of time, they will not have record of you, yet.
1) call Disney at 800-******** option 1 and then option 1 again.
2) tell them you are a new member and would they see if your name appears on their computer
3) if yes, ask for your member numberif no, call again in a few days (several departments are involved in a transfer)
4) confirm points in your account
5) make reservations, bank points or wait to decide what you want to do with your points
Disneys owners book will be mailed to you in about 3 weeks after you receive your membership #. If you are already an owner and this is the same use month, just see if points have been put into your existing membership. If it is a different use month, follow instructions 1-4. You will receive a new # for this ownership. Disneys owners book will tell you all about banking, booking, etc."
