Closed on my DVC Now What?

Hello Friends
I received my closing documents and mailed them back along with my payment. It is confirmed that it was received and now i was wondering what Number to call to see when i am in the system and when my points are available so i can book my ressie. TIA !!

Once we closed, we were not in the system for approx. 5-6 days. Here are the instructions we got from Jaki and **** once we closed:

"INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO GET YOUR NEW MEMBERSHIP NUMBER

Please wait approx. 7-10 days to do the following steps. This is the usual amount of time it takes Disney to make a transfer. If you call a head of time, they will not have record of you, yet.

1) call Disney at 800-******** option 1 and then option 1 again.

2) tell them you are a new member and would they see if your name appears on their computer

3) if “yes”, ask for your member number—if “no”, call again in a few days (several departments are involved in a transfer)

4) confirm points in your account

5) make reservations, bank points or wait to decide what you want to do with your points

Disney’s owner’s book will be mailed to you in about 3 weeks after you receive your membership #. If you are already an owner and this is the same use month, just see if points have been put into your existing membership. If it is a different use month, follow instructions 1-4. You will receive a new # for this ownership. Disney’s owner’s book will tell you all about banking, booking, etc."

We aren't allowed to post the full number here I think. You should have received the member services number with your closing docs. Did you receive an e-mail that said you actually closed? The sellers have to have their closing documents notarized and sent back before the title company can close.

Oh Ok..thank you, WDWNUT. I didnt know that about posting the number...sorry. And no, I did not receive an e-mail confirming the close,nor did I receive the phone number on my closing documents. I guess they did not receive the sellers closing documents yet. Thanks, just a little excited to book my ressie since i have to use points within the next few months and was hoping to get BLT.

Thanks for the details. I just closed this month to. I bought thru resale SSR . I received some mail that the loan company has forwarded the proceeds to the title company last week.
