Reporting to you Live from WDW!

Looking forward to meeting some of you tomorrow and Sunday!

Donald loved this dress and danced around the restaurant with Leighanna
DSCF0036.jpg

The CM's at Tony's loved Leighanna's dress. They surprised her by giving her a stuffed Tramp and a set of Lady and the Tramp pins!
DSCF0029-1.jpg

It has finally begun to warm up! Now only needing a jacket or coat early in the morning or late at night!

We have dinner tomorrow with the princesses! Leighanna is looking forward to it!

Great stuff posted, I just skimmed, but have seen some great stuff!

Ooh look how sweet! I am glad you guys are having such a great time! And how cool of the CM! I can't wait to see more pictures. Have a great rest of your trip!

I wish we could have gone to meet up with everyone and enjoy birthdays....darn ankle! Maybe next year!

WOW my baby is SEVEN today!

Here is what I bought yesterday on my fabric day! I used money I made selling some scrapbooking stuff. Had a blast! Dh almost had a heart attack when I told him I spent all my money! HEHE!:cool1:

I got tulle to make a tutu and this fabric was too cute! Have no clue what I am going to do with it!
DSCF0761.jpg

I found Very Hungry caterpiller! They also had Brown bear but I will get that next time!
DSCF0760.jpg

DD13 picked out the purplish one. she wants me to make a shirt for her.
DSCF0759.jpg

Had to have this print! So pretty. Gonna make shorts for DD5
DSCF0758.jpg

Have a dress in mind for this! LOVE this print. I am going back for more because I think it would make a great Feliz...they had a few more coordinating fabrics too
DSCF0757.jpg

And finally...some heart fabric, some fabric for a purse and some squares to make a patchwork twirl.
DSCF0756.jpg

I also got 4 large spools for my new serger and some needles. All in all I spent $100! I could have spent $500 if I had the money.

First!!!!:hyper: I can't wait to go there!!!!! I called my BFF yesterday and told her we are going when she comes down to go to IKEA...What a great day that is going to be...SHOPPING!!!! at places I really want to go!

Next! I LOVE the hungry caterpiller fabric...That is one of Timmy's favorite books...He would love that...

I plan on laying out all the outfits I am making for the kids for Disney, that way I know what I NEED when I go, and then I won't get toooo distracted...I Hope!

PLUS...I got my dividend check yesterday...I will be saving that for that shopping day...DH always tells me to use it for me, not towards bills...I ususally don't listen...but I will this time!::yes::

TOM! Love that you guys are having a great time! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks to everyone for the compliments on the Cars shirt...it helps to have positve feedback when you are nervous abut something! Thanks again!:goodvibes

Well, I just finished packing (still have that hoodie to put finish) and we are leaving from the soccer fields tomorrow straight for Disney! I think my husband is a little sad because he can't come with us. But he got to take Megan to the Father/Daughter dance tonight, so it's ok!

Thanks to everyone who commented when I first posted the dress. I cut three inches off the black fake-leather and I think it turned out cute. I used Carla's potrait peasant for the bodice and the costume pattern for the skirt. Megan did not like the hat and probably took it off at the first opportunity. I can't wait until they get home so I can hear all about it.

Have a great weekend everyone!

The dress looks so cute...and cutting extra off really worked well! I hope they had a great time!

Have a safe trip!

I've been in lurking mode for awhile (sorry!) as my sewing machine was "under the weather" for a good half a year. Finally got it all worked out though. I've sewn a few things since my DD's dozen bakers hats from her birthday party.

Anyway, I wanted to share my mom's birthday gift. I wasn't sure how this would turn out, so I made a prototype for my kiddos AG dolls (forgot to take a pic of that!) and then crossed my fingers and gave it a shot in human size!

(my photographer is six, so please bear with the photos!)

And its reversible...

And a close-up of the pocket to show the fabric... I love this fabric!
th_aproncu.jpg

That is sooo cute! I love aprons and I love that fabric too. Great job.

Ok I did it! I actually got around to sewing! WAHOOOOOOIE for me...and Georgia of course. hehe I made her birthday skirt. She loves it. She picked which colors went where and then told me she didnt want the white underskirt so I said okie dokie. I actually am really proud of myself on the the way it turned out. It was my first strip work skirt. HOWEVER...I do hate to gather but worth it in the end. I can only get better right?!?! haha so here it is.

Georgia wasn't in a picture taking mood, she was more in to the Wii instead. I will have more tomorrow on her birthday! Hopefully it won't be raining too much for our zoo trip.

Great job! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We're back and all settled in. Everything went very well. I got to hold her while they put her to sleep. They put in the IV while she was sleeping. There was no crying from either of us. There was a mom and grandma who came out of the putting the kids to sleep room who were quite upset. I got a little worried as they went before us. But I held her and dh watched, I think if I had watched it would have been more difficult. She has been a good patient very sleepy, she is feeling pretty good now. She didn't even get sick from the anesthetic. She is painting at the table right now. :artist:

Thanks so much for all your prayers and positive thoughts for us.
I was thinking about Becca while we were waiting. I couldn't help but feeling fortunate knowing that I would be taking my baby home today and that her minor surgery would barely be a blip on her radar. I hope & pray that Becca has a quick recovery and she is back to better then her old self very soon. I can't even imagine what her family is going through!
I think I'll be hugging my babies a little tighter tonight!

Glad all went well and she did good! I am also hugging my babies and saying prayers for Becca and family.

Just wanted to share my Big Give shirt...I was so nervous with this...this is the first clothing I have made for anyone outside my family. I really stressed over it...but it's done! i am happy with the results.

I love that first fabric! Super cute!

The Hungry Caterpillar fabrics have such great colors.

I think only spending 100 on all of that is a fab bargain!!!

I looks like you had a blast at the fabric store.... I like it all, but the pink and green quilted is my favorite I think :)
I wish we had a huge place like that around here. Oh, well next time I am in NC I will have to check it out ;)

Tom - great pictures! Sounds like you guys are having a great time.
Have fun!

I love it Kelly! I'm sorry about your ankle though!

KIm, I just love this!!!! It is so cute!!! You really do a great job, I don't know why you would ever worry!
Do you know where the link is? This thread is huge!

If I can't do that one, do yall have any suggestions for easy patterns that I can accessorize & make more Princessy?
I'll try to find it. I know I just got an email from them.

OK, found it: http://thefabricobsession.com/forum/index.php

But, if you want easy and versatile, you need to get the Portrait Peasant top and Dress pattern from Carla C! And, the Simply Sweet Pattern (also by Carla) with those two patterns, you can make any princess dress! I have added ruffles to the backs of both of them, and was really happy with the way it turnded out. If you go to the photobucket account, you can see what lot of people have down with those to patterns by looking under the tags for those patterns.
This may be a repeat post...Sorry, if it is...I didn't go back very far to check...

Becca, one of the Wish Kids...many of you guys participate in The Big Give and she was a Big Give recipient!

She is really sick.

Here is her TR, if you are interested in reading more. The details of her current situation are on page 24...

Please pray for them and post if you feel like you should. Thank you so much!!

Becca's Wish Trip Thread...Please pray for Becca and her family...

and, while I am over here hijacking your thread...

You guys are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did yah really think I'd post it on the Wish Trippers thread and not here? ;)
But, it is very important, so thanks for posting it again, I'm sure there are quite a few who missed it.

I'm so worried about Becca. This child is like a ray of sunshine! I can't even imagine what Mandy and her husband are going through. :grouphug:

I wish we had done this two weeks ago :sad2: . I already joined one and payed for another May photopass share. I didn't realize so many of us were going in MAY! They are usually on the Budget boards and that's where I found it. Thanks for offering though :thumbsup2 .

I knew I should have posted it sooner!! Sorry about that! I usually sign up on the Budget Boards to do them, but thought I'd ask here first.

Megan looks adorable!!! I love the freckles!!!

Why isn't Tom wearing a bandana and cowboy hat??? ;)

I'm so glad everything went well Anna!! You've had a tough few weeks though, haven't you? :grouphug:
You'll went and got chatty on me when I left!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything posted! The aprons, valentine skirt, big give cars, monster, beauty, superman, tink and the pink dress!

What a great idea to do the dress out of cotton! I really like the tink cutie! I might have to use that, I have the perfect purple shirt!

And, because I live in the stone age, while in the car today I figured out how to text and check the internet from my phone. It is just a pay as go phone and we never never use it, but it sure passed the time (until I had to drive). I can't wait to mess with it on the way home. I figure a few bucks is money well spent to entertain me!

Anna, glad everything went well today!

I won't lie, I didn't read most, just looked at pictures! So hope I didn't miss anything important!

OH, Little Miss Technology! Glad you could check in on your drive!!! HOw cool is that!

We are having a great time here at WDW.

Oh WOW!!!! I want to come shopping with you!!! Isn't that Hungry Caterpillar fabric quite rare? I was thinking it was for some reason. I know BowznStuff did an outfit with it awhile back. Great find!!!

And, I keep scrolling down and see SOOO many pretty fabrics!!! I love the black with the red!!! They are all gorgeous!! And, you did great getting all that for $100!!! Good shopping!!! Now does anyone know if there is a cool place like that around Michigan??? Heck, I'd drive to Illinois, Ohio or Indiana for cool fabric like that!

Hi Everyone,

Im getting ready to make my BFF's birthday pink/green quilt! I hope I picked the right fabrics for her!!! I'll show ya later - hopefully today!!

I have DH convinced to take me back to the 50% off walmart fabric dept tonight - I hope there is still stuff left!! Anyone need anything? I could check for ya if you want???? They had lots of the typical Disney/HSM/HM stuff, littlest pet shop, care bears, animal prints etc...they also had some of that pink/green quilted paisley stuff (about $10/yard - but 50% off). It wouldnt be till after 6 or so tonight, so I'll keep checking in just in case!! I love to shop for people!! Typically the fabrics are 4.44, 3.97, 2.97 and 2.00/yard - so its 50% off that plus tax (NJ has tax on fabric, right? Im not 100% cause DH took it to the checkout).

Have a GREAT day whatever you are doing!!
Hope everyone in Disney is having fun!!!

Wendy

Hello... I was looking around at all the fabric you got and I remembered when I went to Hancock of paducka (think I spelled it wrong) Man I was in heaven! We don't have any awesome fabric stores here in the Quad Cities. I spent so much money I had a guilt attach and started crying! :rotfl2: My DH was like its ok just make sure you make stuff and sell it!:scared: But alot of it is still in my room waiting to be made into something! Has anyone been there? I love all the new stuff everyone is making.

I know how you feel! At the end of my fabric shopping trip I stopped in Sew Much Fun (Bernina store) and there was a woman in there who just spend $7,941! I think she bought an embroidery machine and a serger and two travel bags, accesories and fabric. I felt like crying for her...but she seemed elted and her poor dh had no clue!

:grouphug: Hey GUys,

I really need help with fabric choices....

Here are the fabrics I have - the Michael Miller Dot one I only have a 1/4 yard or so, everything else I have plenty of - I want to make the whole back flannel (choices on the far right)...I know I want a lot of the pink/green, green/pink dots (maybe the small squares) but then for the big squares what should I do? Paisley? paisley and a few michel miller? Or, what about the big dot (that is the fabric that isnt cotton, but does fray - its like a drapery type material I got stuck with cause I got it on ebay(thinking it was cotton).....

Choices??/

Hi, I have that same Pink and Green quilted fabric and I have seen it at several stores, I got mine at Walmart because they had the best price, but Hancocks also sells that fabric. I'm in GA if that matters.

Guess What!!!!

Heather just called!!!

YEAH!!

About Time!!!
They are having lots of fun!! They froze their patooties off the other day at Animal Kingdom though! Apparently Sawyer has falledn in love with one of the Tink fairies (Rosetta??? sorry, I don't know their names!) Tessa HATE HATE HATES! Tower of Terror (but is VERY exciting about meeting Luke tonight!) and Sawyer gets car sick in fake cars even! Mom just sounded happy. :goodvibes (a week without my Grandma must be good for her!)

It was so good to hear from them! :grouphug:

I think she said they were at Epcot in the World Showcase.

Of course, now I'm REALLY missing them!

I would love a yard of pet shop fabric, mickey fabric and zebra fabric! And if they have any other black & white prints i would take half a yard of each. There is so much more I could ask for but I'll resist. I would love you forever if you could find any of those. Fabric stores are HORRIBLE here.
You are so sweet to offer to look for us ::yes::
