I love it Kelly! I'm sorry about your ankle though!
Just wanted to share my Big Give shirt...I was so nervous with this...this is the first clothing I have made for anyone outside my family. I really stressed over it...but it's done! i am happy with the results.
KIm, I just love this!!!! It is so cute!!! You really do a great job, I don't know why you would ever worry!
Do you know where the link is? This thread is huge!
If I can't do that one, do yall have any suggestions for easy patterns that I can accessorize & make more Princessy?
I'll try to find it. I know I just got an email from them.
OK, found it:

But, if you want easy and versatile, you need to get the Portrait Peasant top and Dress pattern from Carla C! And, the Simply Sweet Pattern (also by Carla) with those two patterns, you can make any princess dress! I have added ruffles to the backs of both of them, and was really happy with the way it turnded out. If you go to the photobucket account, you can see what lot of people have down with those to patterns by looking under the tags for those patterns.
This may be a repeat post...Sorry, if it is...I didn't go back very far to check...
Becca, one of the Wish Kids...many of you guys participate in The Big Give and she was a Big Give recipient!
She is really sick.
Here is her TR, if you are interested in reading more. The details of her current situation are on page 24...
Please pray for them and post if you feel like you should. Thank you so much!!
Becca's Wish Trip Thread...Please pray for Becca and her family...
and, while I am over here hijacking your thread...
You guys are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did yah really think I'd post it on the Wish Trippers thread and not here?
But, it is very important, so thanks for posting it again, I'm sure there are quite a few who missed it.
I'm so worried about Becca. This child is like a ray of sunshine! I can't even imagine what Mandy and her husband are going through.
I wish we had done this two weeks ago

. I already joined one and payed for another May photopass share. I didn't realize so many of us were going in MAY! They are usually on the Budget boards and that's where I found it. Thanks for offering though

.
I knew I should have posted it sooner!! Sorry about that! I usually sign up on the Budget Boards to do them, but thought I'd ask here first.
Well, I just finished packing (still have that hoodie to put finish) and we are leaving from the soccer fields tomorrow straight for Disney! I think my husband is a little sad because he can't come with us. But he got to take Megan to the Father/Daughter dance tonight, so it's ok!
Thanks to everyone who commented when I first posted the dress. I cut three inches off the black fake-leather and I think it turned out cute. I used Carla's potrait peasant for the bodice and the costume pattern for the skirt. Megan did not like the hat and probably took it off at the first opportunity. I can't wait until they get home so I can hear all about it.
Have a great weekend everyone!
I liked it before, but it looks even better with the shorter black skirt!!! It is really cute Steph!!!
Megan looks adorable!!! I love the freckles!!!
Why isn't Tom wearing a bandana and cowboy hat???
I've been in lurking mode for awhile (sorry!) as my sewing machine was "under the weather" for a good half a year. Finally got it all worked out though. I've sewn a few things since my DD's dozen bakers hats from her birthday party.
Anyway, I wanted to share my mom's birthday gift. I wasn't sure how this would turn out, so I made a prototype for my kiddos AG dolls (forgot to take a pic of that!) and then crossed my fingers and gave it a shot in human size!
(my photographer is six, so please bear with the photos!)
And its reversible...
And a close-up of the pocket to show the fabric... I love this fabric!
That is SOOOOO SOOOOOO cute!!! I love it!! You did a fabulous job!!! And, the pictures are very good!
We're back and all settled in. Everything went very well. I got to hold her while they put her to sleep. They put in the IV while she was sleeping. There was no crying from either of us. There was a mom and grandma who came out of the putting the kids to sleep room who were quite upset. I got a little worried as they went before us. But I held her and dh watched, I think if I had watched it would have been more difficult. She has been a good patient very sleepy, she is feeling pretty good now. She didn't even get sick from the anesthetic. She is painting at the table right now.
Thanks so much for all your prayers and positive thoughts for us.
I was thinking about Becca while we were waiting. I couldn't help but feeling fortunate knowing that I would be taking my baby home today and that her minor surgery would barely be a blip on her radar. I hope & pray that Becca has a quick recovery and she is back to better then her old self very soon. I can't even imagine what her family is going through!
I think I'll be hugging my babies a little tighter tonight!
I'm so glad everything went well Anna!! You've had a tough few weeks though, haven't you?
You'll went and got chatty on me when I left!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything posted! The aprons, valentine skirt, big give cars, monster, beauty, superman, tink and the pink dress!
What a great idea to do the dress out of cotton! I really like the tink cutie! I might have to use that, I have the perfect purple shirt!
And, because I live in the stone age, while in the car today I figured out how to text and check the internet from my phone. It is just a pay as go phone and we never never use it, but it sure passed the time (until I had to drive). I can't wait to mess with it on the way home. I figure a few bucks is money well spent to entertain me!
Anna, glad everything went well today!
I won't lie, I didn't read most, just looked at pictures! So hope I didn't miss anything important!
OH, Little Miss Technology! Glad you could check in on your drive!!! HOw cool is that!
We are having a great time here at WDW.
Reporting to you Live from WDW!
Looking forward to meeting some of you tomorrow and Sunday!
Here are a couple of photos.
Donald loved this dress and danced around the restaurant with Leighanna
The CM's at Tony's loved Leighanna's dress. They surprised her by giving her a stuffed Tramp and a set of Lady and the Tramp pins!
It has finally begun to warm up! Now only needing a jacket or coat early in the morning or late at night!
We have dinner tomorrow with the princesses! Leighanna is looking forward to it!
Great stuff posted, I just skimmed, but have seen some great stuff!
Love the pictures Tom!!! Thanks for posting them!
Here is what I bought yesterday on my fabric day! I used money I made selling some scrapbooking stuff. Had a blast! Dh almost had a heart attack when I told him I spent all my money! HEHE!
I also got 4 large spools for my new serger and some needles. All in all I spent $100! I could have spent $500 if I had the money.
Oh WOW!!!! I want to come shopping with you!!! Isn't that Hungry Caterpillar fabric quite rare? I was thinking it was for some reason. I know BowznStuff did an outfit with it awhile back. Great find!!!
And, I keep scrolling down and see SOOO many pretty fabrics!!! I love the black with the red!!! They are all gorgeous!! And, you did great getting all that for $100!!! Good shopping!!! Now does anyone know if there is a cool place like that around Michigan??? Heck, I'd drive to Illinois, Ohio or Indiana for cool fabric like that!
