MaidMarion, your dd is so cute and you did a great job on all of those customs!!

I've had a productive weekend - 5 pairs of Easy Fits and one Feliz! I didn't find the Feilz too difficult, especially with the Trillium blog sew-along, but it definitely isn't one that you can just "whip up" real quick!

Here's Ella in her new Feliz -

Wow, this is gorgeous! I love the combo of fabrics and the big ric-rac trim. Plus, the tights... too cute!

Lori!! That is fabulous!!! I just love it!!! Just gorgeous!!!!

I had a pair or tights like that when I was little! I loved those tights!

Thanks for all the compliments. She loved wearing the customs on the trip and all the special attention she got. The brown and pink is my favorite. I sewed the tulle all scrunched up right on the skirt so it sicks way out even without a petti. She loves it. She wore it to the American Girl store in Chicago and we had so many people stop us, she felt like a star.

Hello everyone. We are getting ready to go to Disney World soon so I have decided that my DD must be themed. I have enjoyed looking around and getting lots of great ideas and facts about all things Disney. I just wanted to share some things I have done so far....

Oh I was wondering does anyone know who or where I could get the stick figure family's from?

If you mean the Iron on transfer?
I think that is from someone on the Creative DISign boards.
Wish I could give you better directions... thats as close as I can get you :)
Anyone else know more?

Love the Valentines Day Feliz! And Maid Marion, what cute customs! My DD especially liked the one in the picture with Donald :)

I have finally finished my kids chef's Hats....
chats.jpg

And I need an apron for church next week... long story... so, it was a great excuse to try the "Oh So Chic" pattern I got from YCMT. I used left over fabric from kids chefs hats and its turning out to be very cute and springy. I need to finish it, but I was so excited about how its turning out I had to post....
dapron.jpg

DD loved it and I decided to put a smaller version for her together... its in the same unfinished state... needs to put on the lining on both.
aapron.jpg

Now DS wants an apron.... maybe his doesn't need the gathered inset ;)

big gives outfits
I decided to take the advise (sorry forgot who suggested it) and added the water effect to the shirt
2008_01230004.jpg

I added this top for Megan... (I know shamu was not on her list of favorites but I thought that for the sea-world trip she could use it)

2008_01230001.jpg

I usually like to have at least two outfits per child but I procrastinated too much with this give and really had no time:upsidedow so I decided to make extra iron on t shirts for the kids...

MENTAL NOTE: USE MIRROR IMAGE WHEN DOING IRON-ON TRANSFERS:sad2:
I will tell you that I could have sewn at least two, three outfits in the same time that It took me to do the appliques and iron-ons !!!!:rotfl2:

PS: Teresa...My give is in the mail!!!
Linnette
These are great. I love the water you added. It's the perfect detail that really finishes the shirts off.
I made that pattern. It comes out the way that it looks, but really if you want a pattern that is just as easy you can go with the Simply Sweet Pattern by CarlaC on YCMT.com. It has the halter option and really you get more options with her pattern.

Here is the one that I made.

That is really pretty. Perfect to wear to Crystal Palace
Hi
I come here often to look at all the great stuff you guys make. I just started to sew last fall and my DD is turning 5 in february and wants an Hannah Montana b-day party so I decided to give a try at a skirt (and after looking at all the pretty stuff you all made) here is her skirt:
janvier2009017.jpg

She used to be very shy and since she discover Hannah last fall she's a totally different girl...
I couldn't belive how easy it was to make this skirt, now I can wait to make some more ;)
Weclome! Great skirt and your DD is adorable.
just wanna let everyone know that im still alive. Havent posted much because I have been having some "problems" with one of my daughters. I still check in and quickly scan the boards...just don't have much time to post. I think of you often. Missing my "friends", Michelle :flower3:
:grouphug: I hope your DD is better soon.

Great pictures and Customs. Add me to the lost of those who like the pink and brown. It is a great color combination.

Lori that is really cute!!!! Did you use the eyelet over the pooh material or is it all one? Also which pattern do you use for your peasant shirt? I really like the look of the one you used. Thanks! You always do such beautiful work :thumbsup2

oh the fabric is already eyelet. I have been hording that fabric for 5 years!!! Finally made something with it! I use the YCMT for peasant tops. I basically use the same white one a lot, I do not remake a new one for each outfit. It is easier that way.
Thanks again. We are not keeping this one, I waited too long for the pooh window - and they are not huge fans anymore... but it would be perfect for the new book coming out for pooh.

Linnette, I love your Shamu shirts!! The water splashes came out great!

Just in case anyone was wondering about the simplicity pattern I mentioned above....I found it online. It is a Daisy Kingdom pattern #2988. It looks so adorable. I just get a little nervous when they just have a drawing on the cover and not an actual picture. I tend to get high hopes and then they don't look as nice when I complete them. I don't know if by chance anyone has used it before but if you have give me a shout. Thanks!

I don't know if this will work but here is the link:

http://www.simplicity.com/dv1_v4.cfm?design=2988

I love all the Daisy Kingdom patterns.

I love the tees!! One of my DD's favorite thing at WDW was the face painting. They really did a great job, the colors are so bright - here's my DD' version from AK too...Looks like the both got the Rockin' Rainbow!!

IMG_3127.jpg
IMG_3129-1.jpg

Kirsta loves the face painting. But the poor thing sweats it off before lunch rolls around.

I don't normally do this, but AmberGreenWalt is going through yet another tough time. She was one of the WISH families (back in December, I think) She is always so upbeat and their youngest (not their WISH child) is going through a rough patch again. I'm sure thoughts and prayers would be appreciated. I didn't participate in this GIVE but got caught up in her TR.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1880798&page=29

Oh no!! Amber made all those wonderful gift bags for all the kids on the wish list. I hope all is well.

Hi everyone! I have another question for you ever so talented ladies! My father just called and said that one of the patches on his leather jacket got caught on something and made a tear  . I think about half of the patch was ripped. He wanted to know if I knew how to fix that. I do not have any leather experience and was hoping someone here had some advice :confused3 . Thank you for your help!

I'd take it to someone that works on leather. Some dry cleaning places can send leather out. But leather needs a heavy duty machine, and sometimes it's just pounded and glued.

Ok-lets try that again

Lori, I am not a Pooh fan, but this fabric is adorable, and so is your dress.

oh, here is my Woody dress I just finished.... We are not keeping this one as well... Her smile is a tad wierd..... hmmmm but I really like this dress... the apron can be taken off too!

Thanks, the fabric was just sitting here and I thought it would make a perfect Spring POOH dress.
Lori

I love to use fabric that I've had stashed away for awhile. Then everyone thinks it's something new, when it's really outdated!! :goodvibes

Love the kitty purse and dress! Your daughter is just so stinkin' cute!

Thank you! Yeah, she knows :rolleyes1:rotfl:

Maid Marion: I lost your quote, but beautiful job! Your daughter is so cute. Those are some thin little strips on the strip-work dresses -- that's a lot of work!:thumbsup2

This is so fun and pretty and funky! Love the fabrics! I really like the name Ella, too.

Very cute! Love the gathered inset.

This is so pretty. It will be very sweet on some lucky little girl.

I use the YCMT for peasant tops. I basically use the same white one a lot, I do not remake a new one for each outfit. It is easier that way.
Lori

I'm currently working on a white peasant style dress for my DD to wear under pinafores and jumpers, too. I'm using a McCall's pattern, though, and I'm just about ready to fling it out the window. I'm very very tempted to spend a little extra and go with YCMT instead. Carla's peasant top can be lengthened to a dress, right? Is that what you use?

Looove this dress. It's so fun. What are you talking about -- weird smile? She's adorable!

I love this one, as well. I love Toy Story.

Everything looks great! happy bday to your little girl!

The pillow case dress reminds me does any one have a good pattern for one? I looked in the book marks and they all seem to come from actual pillow cases which I can't do because I need one for Nik who is 9 and one for my niece who is 2. besides i have some fabric in mind for them!

Thanks for the compliment and birthday wish for my DD!

For the pillowcase dress, I didn't have an actual pillowcase, either. I just folded the fabric in half and made it into a pillowcase, leaving the top open. Then I followed the instructions from there. Does that make sense? I'm not very good at explaining things. I'm no Carla :rotfl:

Quick question, has anyone ever bought fabric from thousandsofbolts.com, their prices are very low, and it seems to good to be true. A yard of Michael Miller Bunny Toss for 3.95/yard, I was looking at a few other sites and it was 8.95/yard.
