Recall for items containing peanut butter from Austin, Keebler, Soft Batch, Famous Amos, etc.

I wanted to post this because my friend happen to fall upon it the other day when it was a precautionary recall, as of yesterday it was recalled but I never saw anything about it without hunting. I happen to mention it to Heather and she had some in her house too!

Thanks for posting this. I checked my "hurricaine survival kit" and the crackers I had in there were this brand....notice I said "had" in there. They're now in the trash!

I love that your husband will cooperate with you!! Mine would just roll his eyes at me :sad2:

Also wanted to say that I love everything that has been posted - all of the feliz and vida dresses and skorts especially. I'm trying to figure out if my almost 10 yo daughter would wear a vida. This semester is crazy busy at school, so I'm not getting much sewing done right now. I do have an air force bowling shirt for Nate almost completed though (my dad was in the air force when I was born).

th_DSCN3540-1.jpg

and I had to throw in this photo with her babies because today they were named "Minnie and Tessa" :rotfl2: Me thinks her mom spends to much time on the disboards.
th_DSCN3550-1.jpg
That is SOOO cute, Jeanne!!! I love it!
I showed Tessa the picture and told her the names of Lily's dolls. She thought that was the greatest thing ever!

** On another note, the lady who collided with my son's car last month was NOT insured. She was driving a 2004 Nissan Armada - UNINSURED!! She told our insurance company that she and her husband are divorcing and he cancelled the insurance without telling her. No problem for her - her car was virtually unscathed. My son's BMW was totalled.

GRRRRRRRR!
Sheesh!!! Some people!

Wow, these kids have some posh strollers! Tessa just has a little umbrella one.

Okay, enough lurking on part. I have read 100's of your postings and thought it was time to say "hi." I love, love, everything you guys do! How do you do so much sewing and posting? You guys move fast!
:welcome: This thread moves so fast because there are a whole lot of us on here, I think! We also like to gab!

(Yes, I'm still wondering these odd things all these months later.)
:rotfl2:

Wow!!! That coat is GORGEOUS!!! I absolutely LOOOOVE it!!!!

You have a beautiful family!! I love the button Minnie heads and the twirly skirts! I think it was mytwotinks that first did the button minnie heads.

ADORABLE!!!! And Disney should be a Monthly (if not weekly event). :thumbsup2
:snooty:

My baby boy is sick! His temp is 103.5, he keeps moaning, it's so sad!
Oh no!!! Is he any better today?

YEAH!!!! You found it!! Thank you. Now, does anyone know Heather's user name?

Thank you!!
Nope, I've never heard of her. ;)

\
Hmm, a whole lot! I know it was in the hundreds, I want to say 400, but I could be way off.
I'm pretty sure we had over 700 pictures on our photopass!

Lori, these are GORGEOUS!! Your outfits keep getting better and better!

You're right, they do look even cuter on! I just love the Tink one!

However, I heard that you made a comment that Lily and Leighanna will be the best dressed kids at the dismeet. To that, I think I will just reply:
:snooty:

Well, it took me just over 1/2 yard to make that skirt! It used a lot of fabric because for every face I cut out, I destroyed at least 2 others! Oooh! I hate it when the smilies get reorganized! I'm too lazy to look.

I made a twirl skirt with all the princesses on it, and the same thing happened when I did that one too. I probably only used 1/4 of a yard in the skirt, but ruined at least another 1/4 in the process.

Since school was cancelled, Leighanna wanted to do a photo shoot with the outfits I have done so far. I still have a few more planned, I just don't know if I will have enough time.

I have shared a couple of those before, but I think they look cuter on!
Love them all of course!

Here is Nik's vday outfit. I am not happy with the shirt:confused3 Though i was able to use Carla's updated elongated patter::yes::
th_IMG_0732.jpg
I think it came out great! It looks so cute on her!
Get ready for TOO MUCH LILYS!

So I bought the Feliz pattern months ago thinking I would use it to make Lily's Valentine's/Chef Mickey's dress. Cut to yesterday where I realize I don't have time to learn a new pattern, especially one I'm askeered of! So I cheated and made a Vida with ruffles.

I had to bribe Lily to model by letting her take her babies outside for a walk. And yes, her hair is wet :snooty:

I love this!! So stinkin' cute. Oh and Jeanne, if I could finish a Feliz, you will have no problem. Really. :thumbsup2

I do a lot of sewing and my girls are clammering for me to make outfits like the ones they see posted here. Guess I need to get going before they are too old to wear them!

I do have a bunch of questions for you guys but I'll start with one. I really want a ruffler for my Bernina. I saw that someone said they ordered theirs on e-bay. They appear to be similiar to Bernina's and in the $20-30 range. Is this a good deal and do you guys use rufflers enough to warrent the purchase?
:welcome: I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Hi Guys,

We have our first fundraiser for our Camp Promise Trip at church tomorrow am - since we have the nice chef's hat pattern now, I decided to make a fun one for DH, and then decided to do an apron to match!! He seemed to like it! Its a pancake breakfast, and DH is in charge of the omlettes!!

Tom said that?:p

Going back to finish skimming pages.

I saw where someone mentioned the mock smock Disney dresses & thought that would be a good starting place for me. So....are there any tips for me? Do I need to sew it a little smaller than their chest measurements to make sure it's snug enough to stay up? I would appreciate any help!!!!:scared:

Attikus is doing a little better today. He is still running a temp, around 102. Which is alot better from yesterday. He did sleep better last night and is taking some bottles. But it looks like another day of temp.

Thank you all for asking. This virus is sad, I can't imasgine running a temp this long.

I love this fleece poncho! I had one yard of a matching flannel fabric that i used for a nightgown. I so wish I had bought that fleece! I keep looking at Wallyworld hoping it will come back:cheer2:

ooh- I did not know there was a matching flannel. Our store had 1 bolt of the fleece and then I never saw it again. I thought I had saved a scrap to make a doll poncho but could not even find that yesterday. I will have to keep my eye out for the flannel.

I am glad to hear that Attickus is doing better. Hopefully it will go down more soon!

Has anyone used a fabric glue? Say, if a hypothetical seam had an 'issue' you wanted to cover up with ribbon?

Thanks for posting that link. I didn't realize that so many items were included in the recall. I do have to say that the stores around here are really good about pulling things as soon as there is a recall and they won't stock them again. None of the stores around here carries Peter Pan Peanut Butter anymore. I am very happy to say that we don't have any of those products in the house.

Hi EVeryone,

YAY FOR MEGAN!!!!! Im so happy your handwriting has improved so much!!! I'd love to see how good it is now! Does it seem easier for you to do? Im very proud of you!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Im sure all the kids will look GREAT at the Dismeet!! Wish i could come too!!!! YOu are going to have a BLAST!!

Glad Attikus is a bit better today - hopefully you are on the down side of the virus now - will be praying your princesses dont catch it (or you!!).

We cleared $600 at the breakfast this morning:cool1: ! Which is a GREAT start!! DH wore his hat and apron, and now one of our other friends (who actually caters) asked me "Wheres Mine?" sooooo, I need to find either some cat fabric, or some eagle fabric (has anyone ever seen any?) to make a set for Elliott..!!!

Okay - situation that I need help with...okay -one of the people who came 2 years ago as a nurse with us came this morning to help saying she wants to come back this year. Now, 2 years ago (and 3 years ago) she brought her then 16 year old daughter with her. Now I always am looking at the best in people, especially when they are helping others, and I fought for this teen to come again the 2nd year they came (but she blew it on me)...but, unfortunately, she really has some issues of defiance, disobedience, stirring the pot, creating issues, drama queen, not following directions (and leading others, including my Rebekah, to not follow directions as well). She would do stupid things like wear a bikini under her swim suit (in defiance of the rules - but seriously, she looked really stupid), not show up on time for duties, disobey her work crew leader (even made the leader cry - she was an older teen)....things got so bad at one point that the camp director had to speak to her (we were so embarassed that it got that far) and in general they asked that she not come back....so, her mom says to me today that she wants her teen to come (now 18) to babysit her 2 year old for her while she is on nurse duties.....GUYS, What would you do??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????:confused3 I am all about giving chances, but this is a situation that could ruin the 2 weeks of came (yes, it was that bad)......please help me think this all through, Im bound to see them in church tomorrow.....:scared:

This is a hard one! The only thing I can think of is to say we loved your help and would greatly appreciate it in the future but due to the previous years you don't think it is a good idea for (18 yr old) to come. That sadly enough, you had to fight for her coming the 2nd time around and it didn't get any better.

Hmm, easy enough to type, sure I couldn't get that out!

So, I think you posted a website once about this camp. If so you can you post it again. It is such a wonderful thing!

I would remind the Mother that the girl has not been asked back. If that doesn't work, can she be contained to watching the 2 year old in her cabin and not be given free reign of the camp? Can she be asked to sign a camp agreement stating rules, dress etc. The first time she breaks it she is out.

It sounds like your camp is a wonderful place and those amazing children should not have to endure Ms. "tude". (Neither should the workers)

Can you vote her off the island? LOL

Cat fabric OR Eagle fabric- both are relatively easy to find. Certainly cat is!

bald eagles?

As for your situation- there must be someone at camp that would be willing to babysit, right? I would be open and honest and let her know that due to the past 2 years no working out positively that this year, while you would really love to have her help, you can not accomodate her daughter.

On an aside I think the world of the 2 of you for doing this, if I remember from last year- this is all volunteer for you. It should be a pleasant time! Not stressful!

Okay folks guess what? I have a new chocolate lab I am fostering temporarily. What a sweetie pie! Once I get some decent photos I will post one here. He's on petfinder now, but his photos are just so-so. They named him Justin at the shelter, which we agree is not that great a name for a dog, so we are renaming him Jasper. He didn't know Justin anyway. I was a bit concerned with my limited mobility that I was getting myself in too deep, but he's such a good boy!!! Adoption anyone??:thumbsup2

What a great start!! :cheer2: As for the other issue...I think everyone else said just about the same thing that I would have said. I know that you will be able to handle it really well. :thumbsup2

If I had a yard I would so adopt that little boy. Tinkerbell would be in 7 heaven with a big dog to play with.

I can't believe I'm so far behind again. I missed moving day. :rotfl2:

Thanks Piper - all great thoughts! I was in your neck of the woods a few weeks ago for a conference at Texas Childrens! We enjoyed eating at Pappasitas Cantina and we also went to the Christmas light walk through at the aquarium in Galveston - it was so fun!!!

Where is there an aquarium in Galveston? Is it fairly new? I don't remember it from when we lived in Houston. Is it part of Moody Gardens?

So, now that I'm all caught up I thought I would share some things that I've been working on. These were done before I got really sick. Forgive the marked out faces. I'm sure the girls' mom wouldn't mind me posting these; but since I haven't specifically asked, I am doing this.

I also made a hat for the last outfit, but I don't have any pics of it.

Everything is really cute. I especially like the way the peasant top looks with that skirt pattern, and the pants look like such fun to wear.

St Charles is about 40 minutes i believe? We will ahve to try to meet one day maybe hit a Joann's! :rotfl:

So sweet! I love that it would be adorable on my niece! Now Goerge just needs to get me my embroidery machine which he is turning into an indian giver on:headache:  He now says we have no money and need to save our money for WDW well hate to inform him we would have an extra $1000 if he didn't go and be selfish and got to Cali for a stupid Football game!!!!!!!! So the way I see it he may call HIS WDW trip off but me and the kids are going to go with out him if need be! He had his trip don't mess with ours! sorry vent over!

Yes, we should get together (as soon as I get caught up from Christmas/Disney/being sick.)

Sorry to hear about the embroidery machine. :( I'd be upset about that too.

The Tiedye Mickey heads are pretty easy too. Like this.

What a great idea! How did you get the ring around the one Mickey head?
