I love the green fabric you added to the pillowcase. It's a great combination.I think that is the pillowcase I used for this:

More great fabric combinations and that little girl is adorable.I used Carla's Simply Sweet pattern--the halter version. I just used the pillowcase, I did not applique it.

So cute! Here are some shirts I worked REALLY hard on!They are for DH, myself, and 2 each for the boys. I bought some shirts on clearance at Walmart and got my shirt at Old Navy and ironed on the Mickey patches I got on

Can you tell what this is supposed to be? This is my big Walt fan![]()

I bought Jayden this hoodie and she loved it so much I made her a shirt to match. It involved cramming a hoodie into my scanner/copier...

Thanks! She's doing much better now! I made her a Pooh hoodie too but she's curled up on the couch in it. I'll take a photo later.
Thanks!
I got some at JoAnn's.
Thanks!
How frustrating! Hope its a quick and easy fix!
Thanks! The doll dress is for a
Cute!
They look great!
That Walt shirt is awesome! My DS is a Walt fan too. I give my kids a $25 spending budget per trip. On our last trip he bought a matted print of Walt drawing Mickey with Walt's autograph on the mat. His birthday was last Saturday and I bought him a canvas of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit for his room-it was on sale at the Disney Store for $6. When he saw your shirt he said "WOW! Did someone's Mom make that?" When I said yes he said "WOAH!!"
Pirate Minnie looks awesome too!
Jeanne-Weren't you the one who made the Storm Trooper shirt? If so could you post a pic of it? I was going to see if DH would like to have one for our trip in October. He likes your Walt shirt too.I might actually get some customs on him this year.

My DD had these (Stride Rite) last year and LOVED them and so did I. She wore them alot- but then again, she doesnt wear red much. She got rave compliments everywhere she went. They are too small now and didnt carry them in her size when we went back in, so the next size up was sort of a pink two tone- not half as much fun IMO. She still tries to steal them out of my "outgrown clothes" box I keep in the bottom of her closet. Good support for an open shoe, comfy like a sneaker, but cuter and a little more dressy than a sneak.h
Ok, so DD2 needed new shoes... something for playing in, and this is what we came home with......

Are they awful? or cute?
Ok, back to what I should be doing today![]()
Petti question-
If I want something that is going to add poof to my 2.5yr olds dresses- should I just buy a petticoat that white with the full slip? I know I got a simple slip once to wear understuff that had a pretty lace that peaked out and it was constantly sliding down.

Could I get a copy of that image? Not that I could do it. I had a rough time with the inside of the "P" on "Pooh". How did you do Walt's fingers?I'll PM you the image I used if you want it.
Beautiful!I made this today! It's for my DD to wear on Chinese New Year. It's not quite complete. The pattern calls for a ribbon tie closure. I'm not sure that I like the idea of that. I'm afraid that it'll fall off if it comes untied. I'm thinking of adding a button closure that is covered with a big sash bow. OR a frog type closure. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet.

That's such a nice compliment! I knew someone else on here had a Walt appreciating DS!

That is a very pretty dress. I have made three of these so far. One I did with a ribbon closure that went through a button hole. That stayed closed. I also did one with snaps and one with buttons and they both did just fine. A frog closure would be very cute on that dress. Your DD is very lucky.I made this today! I am convinced my DS will be my fanatic when he grows up. He loves all the classic stuff like Carousel of Progress and TTA. He will be heartbroken when he finds out that not only will Space Mountain be closed when we go in May but so will TTA. He also loves One Man's Dream of course!
Beautiful!
LOVE the Walt shirt! Great Job!
And the Hoodie with shirt is super cute... I had to giggle at your putting the hoodie in the scanner... boy the things we do for our kids
Beautiful! I love it.
Is the pattern for this at YCMT?
Great fabric choices. A frog type would be cute...
Thank you. He said that he would wear it. It looks like I will be able to make him some customs.

You know what I do all of the packing too and I think that if all I packed him was customs he would wear them.Yay for DHs that wear customs! Mine wears a Jack Skellington shirt I made him. Since he doesn't really do any of the packing, I'm thinking he'd wear pretty much whatever I made.![]()
You can do it. We know you can. Lots of people start out not knowing anything about sewing and then within a month or so they are making some beautiful clothes for their little ones.I'm not a regular poster on the DIS, but I lurk a lot. I don't sew (just bought myself a machine and I'm going to try to self teach) but I can tell that you ladies put some hard work into your stuff, and it is all WONDERFUL! I aspire to be sewing half as good as you ladies in about, 5 years?![]()
One can hope anyway!
Thanks for all the inspiration!
