LOL! I had no idea that there were names, although it makes sense!

I had to look it up LOL. My serger and I have an understanding. As long as don't ask my serger to do anything but the basic stitch. All is well. If I start fooling with things and making too many demands-the machine acts up and I end up throwing it. LOL

Come to think of it, maybe it is not the serger's fault:blush:

Yep some people use coloring books for applique templates. Search coloring pages. www.thedollpalace.com is a good place for Disney coloring pages for applique.

Carla's peasant top is easy to do, and if you get stuck, just post and someone here will have the answer for you, most of us have made that pattern (a few dozen times for some!) If you are really lucky Carla will answer the question on here herself. ;)

What Tink pillowcase do you have? I made this set for DD using a pillowcase. It's one of my favorites.

Do you use the color sheet as a template and piece it out with different colors of fabric??

Thanks, that will be my next project, I will def check in for help.

No, mine was much bigger. Yours came out so cute!!! Here is a pic of mine. Maybe someone has used it??

Oh it is definitely the Serger's fault. It is never our fault when machines mess up. :thumbsup2

Thanks guys. They are quickly growing on me as I watch her run around in them.
Tame, Oh dear I think I need to see the orange and red sparkle clogs, where do you find those ;)

Walmart.

Yes, these are tame. Morgan has had solid BRIGHT orange and teal shoes (that went with NOTHING) and let is not forget the red and white checkered SQUEEKY shoes (yes they squeaked with EVERY step). Her current favorite are blue and yellow PLAID!:scared:

I used Carla's Simply Sweet pattern--the halter version. I just used the pillowcase, I did not applique it.

Here are some shirts I worked REALLY hard on! :rotfl2: They are for DH, myself, and 2 each for the boys. I bought some shirts on clearance at Walmart and got my shirt at Old Navy and ironed on the Mickey patches I got on :wizard:

We have all of those fabrics-and I never knew they all went together! I made them all into seperate outfits.

Okay, now these I really DID work on, slave over even...

Can you tell what this is supposed to be? This is my big Walt fan

I bought Jayden this hoodie and she loved it so much I made her a shirt to match. It involved cramming a hoodie into my scanner/copier...

Easy, Jeanne! The statue in front of the castle!

Ok, so DD2 needed new shoes... something for playing in, and this is what we came home with......

Are they awful? or cute?
My husband was speechless when he saw them. We went to Famous Footwear, and they had nothing in her size. So we ran across the street to Nordstrom Rack and they had these Stride Rites on sale for a good price. She loves them, and once she tired them on wouldn't try any other shoes on.... but they are a bit bright. She was wearing a red polka dot shirt when we got them... I had to change her shirt when we got home . So really, how bad are they. I am typically a fan of fun and funky colors, but I am on still the fence about these shoes :).
Its better than her wearing her brothers old blue converse style shoes with the bright yellow flames..... those were my favorite when he was her age... so cute. If I could glam them up for her I would in a second.

Ok, back to what I should be doing today :)
I love 'em! So does DD.

I adore the Walt shirt, and Jayden's Tee is great too!!

Get ready for TOO MUCH LILYS!

So I bought the Feliz pattern months ago thinking I would use it to make Lily's Valentine's/Chef Mickey's dress. Cut to yesterday where I realize I don't have time to learn a new pattern, especially one I'm askeered of! So I cheated and made a Vida with ruffles.

I had to bribe Lily to model by letting her take her babies outside for a walk. And yes, her hair is wet :snooty:

DSCN3540-1.jpg

I should've outlined the gloves with black.

and I had to throw in this photo with her babies because today they were named "Minnie and Tessa" :rotfl2: Me thinks her mom spends to much time on the disboards.

Yikes! The pressure is mounting! Really I feel like time is :hourglass quickly!

I really love Jayden's shirt! I almost need something like that (including the matching hoodie). Too bad I am sure it wouldn't fit!

I love Walt and Mickey!

I need to get started on something. I just feel so non creative right now! Maybe I'll dress like a :clown: . That smilie was just too cute!

What is Lily wearing to DHS? Does she need to match the star wars gang or do you have her handled?

It is thanks, I live in Utah and I love my mountains! She is walking up and down the sidewalk in front of my house. It is a LOT of sidewalk to shovel snow off of!

I bought several iron on patches at Disney World last week (found them with the hats - they're intended to be ironed on mouse ear hats). I'm planning to do the same thing that you did.

PLEASE tell me how you did the Partner's shirt!?! I LOVE it!

You could match! I'm pretty sure that was a size S adult hoodie I bought Jay. I have a MMCH storybook I wanted to use to make Lily a skirt for DHS but I just can't decide on what fabrics to use with it or what sort of top to do with it or if I should just forget about it altogether. Do you have any cute Star Wars ideas for me? Maybe she needs a storm trooper shirt :rotfl2: she can be the family villain.

Oh that's a great idea about the hat patches! I'll have to buy some of those! I'd like to say I'm really smart, creative and original, but I got the idea for the Walt shirt when I saw some vinyl window appliques on etsy. I'll PM you the image I used if you want it.

LOVE the Walt and Mickey one! Great job. And good scanner work on the cuties hoodie.

You have some lucky kiddos there.

It's all so pretty. Pj's usually cheer Jenna up too. Hopefully your DD will be feeling better soon.
Thanks! She's doing much better now! I made her a Pooh hoodie too but she's curled up on the couch in it. I'll take a photo later.

Both turned out so cute!
Thanks!

Does anyone know where I can get some Wall E Fabric? I was thinking for DS birthday party I would make the kids each a cute t shirt :goodvibes
I got some at JoAnn's.

You've been busy! They all look great!!
Thanks!

1st, I have to say I feel the need to scream!! I'm in the middle of working on my Big Give, and I think I broke my sewing machine! I just did some stippling, and now my feed dog won't go back up in position. :scared: That is the last thing I need right now.
How frustrating! Hope its a quick and easy fix!

Great shirt. I love resort themed outfits. Those pajamas are adorable. I love the American Girl Doll dress. Are you taking her to the park?
Thanks! The doll dress is for a friend who visits us at WDW from Jacksonville. I'm pretty sure she'll have Kit with her. I don't know if she'll take her to the parks. She wanted my DD to bring her American Girl Doll but we won't be bringing one on the plane!

That Walt shirt is awesome! My DS is a Walt fan too. I give my kids a $25 spending budget per trip. On our last trip he bought a matted print of Walt drawing Mickey with Walt's autograph on the mat. His birthday was last Saturday and I bought him a canvas of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit for his room-it was on sale at the Disney Store for $6. When he saw your shirt he said "WOW! Did someone's Mom make that?" When I said yes he said "WOAH!!"

Pirate Minnie looks awesome too!
