I've been away & am having a hard time catching up with all the posts! I just have to say I LOVE all the NBC stuff - SO awesome!! It's one of my favorite movies! I have gotten SO many ideas here for more & more dresses I want to make now before our trip in December! LOL Good thing it's a 10 night trip! ;)

I've been battling a cold & praying Maddie doesn't catch it - she hasn't been sick yet & I'd hate for her to get it now. But, I managed to finish my 3rd dress for her on Saturday:

We got our confirmation for our trip in December - we're officially booked at a BWV! :goodvibes Wish it wasn't 10 months away...LOL

THat dress is too cute (so is the little girl) and congrats on the official booking. :cool1:

th_100_0547.jpg

Next I made one with a solid skirt for my other DD8. It is a little bright for her but she said she would like to wear in to the TIKI Room:

th_100_0544.jpg

Next I had to make something for my son, so I attemtped the bowler shirt.....Still needs the buttons though!:rotfl: :

th_100_0545.jpg

Then I made a simple pooh one for DD5:

th_100_0546.jpg

Now I am working on two things. The first is a Mary Poppins shirt, skirt, and belt for DD5. I had left over material from her Jolly Holiday dress and I wanted to make her something that she could wear in early May when we go to Disney. It still needs a lot of work but, this is what I have so far:

th_100_0543.jpg

and last, I am working on this Animal Kingdom outfit for my DD8, who LOVES animals:

th_100_0548-1.jpg

The iron on transfers I made using some creative DIS board Disigners designs. I just used transfer paper, printed them out, and then iron on. Thank you for them DISigners!

So, what do you think? Thank you ladies for your inspiration!
Sorry, pics so big!

Whoa, you have been working on a lot of stuff. Everything looks great.

and Luke is Star of the Week at school this week so I had to put together a poster real quick last night. On top of everything else my CDS was NOT working at all (the first time I tried to use it) and I HATE IT! But my cricut did help out, I just had to use it the old fashioned way. :rotfl: (not a good picture, I had no lighting last night.)

DSCN3592-1.jpg

Very cute Small World outfit. Also, great poster of Luke. I would never be able to put that together last minute.

Thank you! I have been working up a storm the past couple of weeks....only 3 months to go!!!! I put a better jumper picture in there. I guess the camera settings were off.

Maybe the kids can model later and I will take some better ones!

I have to figure out some kind of matching or coordinating outfits for my three children. I do have a couple of Minnie ones in mind for the girls, so I guess that could go with my sons shirt....Oh, and I have to get to work on the pirate adventure outfits! So much to do, so little time!

Silly question....

How do you use your teflon sheet???? I got one, but not positive how to use it - i tried twice, and it got kinda melty - is that right???? it did stick a bit to an iron on, but I let it cool and it came off.....any tips?

JHAM - love the small world outfit!!! Soooo cool!! Tell Luke I said Congrads:cheer2: on being STAR!!!!!!!!!! All the kids will look so cute coordinated - cant wait to see the pictures!!

Baby Maddie is sooooo CUTE!!!!!

All the other outfits are GREAT too!!!!! You guys can really sew!!!

Wendy

And...What's w/ all of the blogs. I am seriously gonna have to up my game around here. Get sewing and start a blog. Not that I'd have anything to say worth reading but just to keep up w/ all of you guys!! That's it. I am getting my sewing area ready this week (it's not like I can go outside w/ all of this cold and rain!!) and rearranging my schedule for sewing time so I can catch up!

A quick pic from this weekend:

You can't really see it but she has on a dalmation tee to match the skirt.

I've been a lurker on this thread for a long time and just wanted to say that I am in awe of everyone's work! You all do an amazing job! :)

Well, thank you!! Tell us a bit about yourself!

Hey everyone!
Wow looks like I've missed some great stuff!!

Everything went really well with the funeral and the 10 hour round trip car rides. We had an uneventful ride up north and the kids were really well behaved. My cousin gave a very touching and heartfelt eulogy with her dad. Her grammy would have been proud.
We stopped to see some other relatives on the way home and had a nice visit.
Then I worked the last 2 days!
Glad we're back we have a busy week this week. Kindergarten registration for lucas and Sophias pre-op physical and surgery.
And some big give outfits!! Yep it's gonna be a busy one!

Hope everyone is doing great!
It made it to 40 something here on saturday!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: So there's hope we'll make it through this winter!!
UGH!!! It has just been to darn cold!!

I'm glad that everything went so well Anna. :grouphug: I've been thinking about you!

That 40 degrees was NICE wasn't it! :beach: I almost put my bathing suit on! We got to 40 (barely, but it made it!) yesterday. It gave me some hope!! Arminda too! She thinks spring MIGHT actually come this year after all! I loved stepping out of my car yesterday onto dirt!!!

OK, I know I've been MIA since the beginning of December or so, but did you all see that the CARLA C PATTERN TRIFECTA (strip work jumper/easy fit pants/portrait peasant top) is NOW available in a bundle pack!?!?
...t.

Wasn't that cool!!! She did that for you!! Did you read her blog? She mentions you!

Hey everyone, I've been lurking and I love all the new stuff! I'm nearing panic mode with all the stuff I need to do before we leave on our trip Saturday :hyper: My friend decided at the last minute that she wants some stuff for her kids too, so with my sister's kids, I'm trying to make outfits for 9 children. Let's just say everyone's getting a little less than I had originally planned. I'm going to have to crank out 9 Mickey head tees today. I spent forevery embroidering Perla last night only to have Lily knock the plug out when I had about 2 steps left and now I can't get the embroidery machine to work so I'll have to work on that too. And my camera broke. It was taking fuzzy pictures, then the USB port wasn't working (the cable was fine) then somehow it dumped over 900 pictures from the memory card. They are GONE. I'm hoping I didn't lose too many. I usually upload them to the computer but I don't always get every photo. Oh well, can't think about it now. Fortunately I do have a backup camera even though it is the WORST camera for Disney. It has like a 5 second lag between photos so when you are taking character photos you can only get one. If I try for two, I can see the characters getting impatient! I have also had the most miserable cold, but I'm finally starting to feel human again. :cheer2: Just in time too! And today I get to take 2 kids with me to get the oil changed in my car! :scared:

I have some stuff to post, just no models. I did get Lily to model her Small World outfit though. I just got matchy bows from Jennwdw. She matched them from the photo. SO CUTE!

and yes, the paint is chipped on my baseboard. Luke was vaccuming the other day and ran into it and the corner piece popped out. Mike put it back in but the paint has not been fixed.

I'm partial to the one with the petti!!! Lily looks so adorable!! Jenn did a great job on the bows too!!!

I love Luke's poster!!!

That small world set is just too adorable!

Well, here goes. I have been working on a few things and I thought I would post them and see what you all think. for a few of them I used the Carla YCMT designs and I they came out pretty nice. Sorry about the poor picture quality. I don't know whay they came out so bad. It's a new Kodak easy share.....I must have the settings incorrect. Well, I will figure that out later...

First I attempted the stripwork jumper and my DD5 loves it! She already wore it to school. I wanted to start on a few non-Disney things to get some practice and use material I already had.

th_100_0550.jpg

Next I made one with a solid skirt for my other DD8. It is a little bright for her but she said she would like to wear in to the TIKI Room:

Great job!!!! WOw!! Everything is so pretty! I love the stripwork jumper, that black fabric really sets off the others so nicely!!!

The Mary Poppins outfit is very clever!!! I like it!

Teresa - I've been reading your TR, just haven't caught up yet. I LOVE all the beautiful outfits you & your sister made for the girls! I loved the Beaches & Cream outfits, the AK outfits & I think my favorite so far has been the pink Cindy dress with the birds on it - it is awesome! Cinderella is one of my favorite movies & I just love this design! :thumbsup2

We got our confirmation for our trip in December - we're officially booked at a BWV! :goodvibes Wish it wasn't 10 months away...LOL

Maddie is just SOOO adorable!!!! I just want to pick her up and squeeze her! You are making me REALLY want another one!!! Her dress turned so cute too!!!

That Cindy dress was something, wasn't it!!! I loved it too! Heather did a great job on that. I liked the Beaches and Cream outfits myself. It was so fun to have all the girls matching! I think matching outfits are so cute!

A quick pic from this weekend:

Hi Morgan!!!1 :wave2:

She looks adorable!!! I'm so jealous that Heather will be seeing you guys in just a few days!

Mary Poppins Questions . . . .

My girls have both expressed an interest in the Jolly Holliday outfit. DD4 told me it is her all time favorite dress of anyone at WDW. Go figure??? Anyway, I know this has been brought up before but can anyone who made the dress post their tricks, tips and pics!

Thanks!!! :) :)

The best tip I would have is a very full skirt. I used iron on fleece for the sash to make it stiffer. Oh and make sure you wash the red before you use it LOL. (To get all the extra dye out)

Don't be jealous, she is in her room right now working on a "surprise" for you.

I should mention, we have "added" to the shimmer nights. I bought her a curly hair ponytail thing. She is currently running around in her version of BBB complete with tiara LOL.

Fairygoodmother has a thread with hints and tips on how she does it. I think I put it in the bookmarks. I'll try to find it for you.

Here you go!

Here are my favorite mini-Mary and Mary Poppins pics from our trip last year. I posted a few recent ones earlier but I have been wanting to past the 2008 pics so I am glad you asked.

I LOVE this one. (this was the one featured in the Disney article.)

poppins4.jpg

My DD face is just to die for in this pic. I laugh every time I see it. It's so cute!

Another favorite! Complete with Mary's kiss on her cheek:

If you have any questions feel free to ask me. I am not a professional but I can tell you what I used. My biggest tip would be to use good fabric. I used a lot of wedding material because I wanted it to look just like the one at Disney. The closest ones I found were very expensive but so worth it. My daughter LOVES Mary Poppins and I wanted her to feel just like her. I didn't have a pattern and was not on these boards then so I just went by pictures of Mary from our prior trip.

I think my sister's procrastination is starting to rub off on me because I just finished sewing yesterday! I decided to make Sawyer a Peter Pan t-shirt so he and Tessa will wear something matching every day. It only took about 1/2 hour because I used Jessica's applique method (I used a spaced apart zig zag stitch instead of a tighter satin stitch). It worked great! This is for MK tomorrow.

Fashionshow023_400x600.jpg

I also made a Pinocchio shirt for Sawyer. The boy LOVES Pinocchio right now! I don't know if you can read the words on it, but it says "REAL boys wear Lederhosen". :rotfl2: :rotfl: He's wearing this to Epcot for the Dismeet and Tessa is wearing the multi-princess dress (okay, they don't exactly match this day).

Fashionshow045_400x600.jpg

Here's the Buzz Lightyear outfits that they both wore to Sawyer's birthday party last year. They still fit! I'm not sure where they're wearing these yet.
Fashionshow032_400x600.jpg

These pictures crack me up!
Fashionshow034_400x600.jpg
Fashionshow037_400x600.jpg

Jessie and Woody! I used CarlaC's vest pattern for Sawyer's Woody vest. It was incredibly easy!! I didn't put buttons on it, so it was really fast, too. CastleCreations made Tessa's adorable Jessie outfit (she's not wearing the belt in the picture, but she'll wear it in the parks). They're wearing these to DHS.
Fashionshow044_400x600.jpg

They're wearing these Dumbo outfits to MK on Wednesday. The Chip/Dale/Clarice outfits are for AK on Thursday.

I made Tessa this Littlest Pet Shop outfit a few days ago. It was such a relief to just make something simple (the skirt).

----------------------------

I am off to Disney World tomorrow!!! I won't have interent access while I'm down there. But, I will see some Disboutiquers while I'm there!:banana::banana:

I'll see Stephres and livndisney again. Plus, I'll finally meet Jessica52877, jham, twob4him, Tom, NaeNae, Piper, sohappy, Tnkrbell565 (sorry if I got that wrong, Kristine), t-beri, and karebear1!! We'll get LOTS Of pictures!

Hopefully my laptop will be fixed by the time I get back. I hate not being able to check in with you all!

I'll be bringing my little notebook so I can do a trip report. So, hopefully I'll be annoying you all with trip report updates on a regular basis!

Can someone tell me which pattern has the ruffles on the straps. I think it is probably the simply sweet but I figured you'll would know and respond faster then I could dig through! Thanks!

You have dirt? Lucky. :rotfl:

We JUST hit 40 today. First time in FOREVER. We also already have more snow so far than we get in an entire winter. And this is New England, so at LEAST six more weeks, if not more. sigh. Can you tell I am getting a little tired of winter?

Yep, it's simply sweet!

Those Mary Poppins pictures are adorable!! The dress is fantastic!!

Thanks Heather! I LOVE all the stuff you guys are wearing! I might have to copy you on Woody. They had cowboy day today so Dallas wore his bandana, but not the other stuff. It is hanging on his wall though and would save me some sewing time!

Jeanne, what is wrong with everything of yours breaking? If you take the memory card somewhere (like wolf camera) or I have heard that at disney, they might be able to get some back. We lost a whole day at MGM one time and some cruise pictures. I was devastated! I didn't know at the time to take the card somewhere!

Mary Poppins is so cute! And I saw some adorable little outfits! BUT I have to run and get something done!

Ran to walmart for 1 pair of jeans and of course fruit loops, a box of brownies, and 3 medicines later we came out WITHOUT the jeans! They didn't have the size I needed, which means a trip to the mall. Dallas is in major sick mode (thus I bought every possible medicine to add to my huge stash here) so I don't want to drag him to the mall too. Walmart was pushing it.

Going back to ignore mode. It somewhat works to accomplish a bit more!

That Pinnochio shirt just cracks me up!!! And we all enjoyed the "tough" poses!!! LOL!!! Crazy kids!!!!

I bet you LOVED saying "they will wear these TOMORROW!" :snooty: ( I almost typed :steph: !!!!)

Ok, I probably should have explained the "dirt"!!! :rotfl: We went to a friend's house for a SuperBowl part and they had plowed their yard so there would be room to park. The dirt was because they had plowed the snow off! But! It wasn't completely frozen, so you could smell the dirt!!! :thumbsup2 You forget what a nice smell dirt is until you haven't smelled it in so long! I am soo SICK of WINTER!! :beach: (that's my new favorite smiley!)
