You have to be very creative using the fridge.
We had a 1/2 gallon of milk, juice boxes that we put in the tiny freezer at night (they would be fine by the time we wanted to drink them.
We had a celery (sideways on the bottom), a lettuce, some tomatoes, a zucchini, some package cold cuts, yogurts (small containers), margarine (sticks so they were easier to fill up small spots), mayo container, cheese sticks that we filled spots with. If I think of anything else we kept in the fridge, I will edit to add it.
The fridge is a dorm size. Think of a cube where the motor takes up a good part of the cube. Basically you have two shelves on the door (one a bit bigger than the other). You have the bottom which is large enough to lay down a celery and then put a few things on top. There is one shelf in the fridge (the freezer takes up half the upper space over the shelf).
You just have to be very creative.

Gina - perhaps you could ask one of the upcoming swappers to take a picture of the inside of the fridge for you.
