Matterhorn and Jedi Training Academy. Anyone know how long each is schedule to be down for?

Hi Neighbor...
Check the DL website. I read Matterhorn is going down for a few days off and on to install new seatbelts. We get one day to ride it march 1st..then it's down the rest of our trip. Jedi academy shows open our entire trip as well so it must not be down for long.

Hey neighbor! :goodvibes We're in Roseville.

Thanks for the info. I was fearing they'd take Jedi out indefinitely to reduce costs because of the economy and such. Glad to hear it'll be back.

I'm glad it's going on when we're there too. We have always skipped right by the Jedi Academy as my son never had much of an interest. Now that he LOVES Star Wars I'm sure we'll be watching it. I see you stayed at the Park Vue last year...how did you like it? We're staying there for the first time in a few weeks.

Just talked to a CM yesterday and I am almost positive she said that Matterhorn will be back up starting March 12th....she said we "just dodged that one" because we're arriving March 16th...

Hope that works for you...!

(not sure when it's going down though--is it already?)

I noticed that Matterhorn is open on the weekends but closed during the week for awhile...open on the 28th of feb and March 1st but closed the 2nd on.

Ya, I just checked and noticed the same. Closed during the week and opened on the weekends.
We are going Feb25 - Mar1 so we should be able to get in on the weekend. DD loves it. :thumbsup2

Loved being RIGHT across the street from the entrance. Loved the better-than-average free breakfast in the morning (this is compared to most "continental breakfasts" that just do the bagels-and-juice thing). Didn't like the noise (all motels have that kind of noise).

For us, if we can get the price, we'll definitely stay there again. I just booked a room at the HoJo though for $59/night for Feb 19-23. I had checked the price at Park Vue and they wanted $93 for the first 3 nights and $73 for the last night. For that price difference, we'll walk a little further and stay in a way nicer place.

I completely understand the price difference. HOJO's was booked for our dates so we missed out this time around on the $59/rate. For our dates PV was 88 the first few nights then 110 the last night. I'm excited to try somewhere new...but will always LOVE HOJO's.
