Will definitely try to post a review of VWL. We are staying in a 2 bedroom. My PDD (Post Disney Depression) shouldn't be as bad as before as we have another countdown (or 2 :cool1:) on the horizon.

I am also really looking forward to your report about the 2BR. Did you make any special requests on your res.? I would love to know about the kitchen, washer/dryer, closet space, and if there is a desk/table area in the living room that I can use as my planning center. I usually make up lists of what we all have to remember each day and like to keep it in a central location. I realize that this could all be done on our phones, but old habits die hard!
I am very excited for you!!

Are there any pictures of rehabbed deluxe suites :confused3 Or have they not been rehabbed yet?

Thanks

We are leaving in ten days and I am putting in my room requests tomorrow, so I'm looking for some opinions. :)

I always request North Wing/upper floor etc. (we do Woods View). We are a family that takes breaks everyday, and some of us will nap. If I request lower floor, do you think I will be o.k. noise-wise, or would it be best to request South Wing VWL view? (I know requests are not guarantees.). TIA

(Also a big :cheer2: for WDWKOOK. You do an amazing job! I haven't posted here often, but I love reading all the latest WL news. Thanks!)

I have a non CL room and we have the new H2O stuff. I like the scent, but the bottles are small.

So, if it is OK to ask this here, :), what is the new/pilot FP program about?
No problem at all asking about that. Here is a link to a recent article on the pilot program called "X-Pass:"

http://blog.touringplans.com/2012/05/02/limited-x-pass-testing-at-walt-disney-world-this-week/

X-pass allows guests to choose a certain number of FP entry attractions; they choose morning, afternoon or evening return. The guest is given an RF card which is loaded with their FP info. and this is scanned by an RF scanner at the attraction.

The first rehabbed rooms just opened on the 7th floor and the 25 Deluxe rooms are only located on floors 1-6. I hope we see some Deluxe room photos soon, too:hyper:

Thanks so much for your kind words, GatorLady.

Since the 6th floor of the North Wing will be in the midst of a rehab while you're there, they will have the 5th floor closed as a noise buffer. This means that if you request the North Wing, you would potentially be on floors 1-4.

Since you want to be able to nap and relax in the room in the afternoon, I would recommend requesting the South Wing (Woods View) which are on floors 2-6 (for non-CL). If you want a regular balcony that isn't solid, request floors 2-5. I believe that the 6th floor Woods View rooms on the South Wing have the solid balconies like the 7th floor.

Have a great vacation and let us know how your stay was:)

I would love to know if the contents come out easier. The conditioner, especially, was always very difficult to get out of the bottle. I hope you're having a great time!

Thanks Kook for the FP link. I had heard that the enforcement of FP end times was in preparation for the new system, but hadn't read about this testing. Sounds interesting. For those of us who don't fly, I hope we will get in on the testing also. :)

Thanks Kook for the advice! Will call tomorrow morning to request South Wing, and I'll be sure to post about our stay when we get back. :goodvibes

We're arriving at WL on 6/27 and staying in a deluxe room. Does anyone know if those rooms will be newly rehabbed by then?

Headed home in 9 hours, I really need to go to sleep but I need me some VWL.

Welcome to the thread! The 25 Deluxe rooms are located on floors 1-6 only. They just started rehabbing the 6th floor/North Wing a few days ago and that should take a few weeks. Both the 6th and 5th floor rooms should be rehabbed by the time you arrive, which means that it will be possible to be in a rehabbed Deluxe room on the 5th or 6th floor of the North Wing when you're there.

Good luck!

It's so hard to sleep the night before - but you'll sleep well tomorrow night back at VWL. What villa type are you staying in? Would love it if you could report back to us on your stay and maybe post some room photos:goodvibes. I would also like to know if the WiFi is as reliable in your VWL room as it was in our WL room - HAPPY 24TH ANNIVERSARY!!!!!! Where are you eating for your anniversary?

Yes.... Very very easy to get out ... Has a small hole that it squeezes out of...

Leaving back to real life tomorrow... Sad, but will be back in 5 months...

I am going to call tomorrow, but the only request I think I have is close to the elevators and a high floor. Anyone have any other suggestions??

Also plan to ask if they are doing flag family again.

Great and thanks! Before you leave, would you be able to take a picture of the room from the balcony? Also, is the balcony furniture new?

Glad you'll be returning in 5 months and have a safe trip home. THANKS AGAIN for taking so many great photos, Macavity:hug:

Goofy...how did you make out calling? Did you place any special rooms requests (can you?).

Did you find out if they are doing the flag family...would love for both our daughters and their families to do this:thumbsup2

We are going to do our on-oline check-in tomorrow:yay: I'm not sure if their is a section for this. Honestly, it really doesen't matter to us, we really are never in our room.

I am so glad to read this and know that I am not the only one sticking my finger in that old bottle to try and get to the conditioner :rotfl2:

It's always sad leaving, but knowing you'll be back in 5 months makes it a little easier ;).

It won't be long before you're checking into the Lodge :yay:.

Didn't see it in the pictures but do you know if WL gives the solar gel in each room. I remember getting it last year at Poly and it is wonderful. My daughter kept calling it "Bob" from the Monsters vs Aliens movie since it was the same color. She would ask each day if we had Bob in our bags since we had gotten a little sun the first day.:rolleyes1

We are finally down to less than a week....Seems like it took forever... Finally sent the kids to school today with notes letting the schools know they will be gone next week..... We can't wait to get on ME and pull into Wilderness Lodge for the first time on Saturday...:)
