okay, in no certain order, just as I remember as I am typing....

the ceiling are different - they got rid of the "popcorn"

the red backing on the bunk beds will also be on the queen/king beds but they are not here yet

New Thumper pillow on beds

white duvets and bed shawl on bottom of bed (not sure what to call it)

new curtains on door

new H20 - this one is a grapefruit base and bottles much smaller now

new rain shower head

fan goes on automatically when you walk into the bathroom

new feather pillows

chairs at table feel wonderful with the new fabric

new carpert, new laminate

tile in bathrooom looks like wood to match pattern on floor

new frame around the mirror on door to bathroom - marble/granite is the same they did not replace that - I also think the frame around the mirror MIGHT be new (??) can't remember what the old one was like.

new locks and framing on doors (still need to be adjusted - need to pull it hard to hear it click to make sure it is locked)

LOVE LOVE LOVE my room and Randy and Andrew.....

we have a very clear view of castle - watching wishes as I type

WDWKOOK, you are amazing - thank you so much - am in the process of sending about 40 more pictures to you now. I almost DIED when I got my phone to take pictures and NOTHING.... so was taking them on a borrowed phone and my camera at the same time. some as duplicates of what I sent, but I was not sure what I sent so I am sending everything I have on my camera,

Thanks for the update on everything that was done and also for taking time out of your vacation to take all of these pics.....they are awesome ::yes::. Have a great time and enjoy the Lodge :goodvibes.

Goodbye suar loaf hello wilderness lodge!!!

Thanks

Are you considering changing from SL to the WL CL? If so, I think that would be a great change :thumbsup2 (just my opinion, though ;)).

I'm so very excited to be staying CL in October ($300 a night makes it even better!)

You will love CL.....the CMs are some of the best :).

My vacation is now less than 270 days away. Ten days less than a full term pregnancy. So the first few months will go very quickly, things will slow down a bit in the middle, and by the end, I'll be thinking this vacation baby will never come.

It seems far away, but the time will fly by and you will be there before you know it ::yes::.

Am very glad I managed to convince hubby to go again.:banana:

Congrats on going back :goodvibes.

Even tho we are staying in the Villas my in-laws will be in the Lodge...can't wait to check out their room:cool1:

Your trip is almost here.....it won't be long before you're checking in :yay:.

Thank you everyone for the pictures! Now hoping and praying for a refurb room when we check in on May 29! Let the pixie dust fall our way!

I knew I shouldn't have looked at these. Now I will be thinking about them the whole time I am in the villas next week. The kids would have LOVED the chracter tiles!

Great pics. Thanks for sharing!

Trying to convince DH on a WL stay. His main thing is he loves staying at monorail resorts. I told him there's a boat here and he said the boat line always looks long. Realistically, what are my transport options not including busses and how long does it take? We would be going during low crowds most likely. Thanks.

Here's hoping you get a refurbed room pixiedust:.

The new rooms are just be an excuse to start planning another trip right away ::yes::.

We love the monorail resorts too, but the WL is also one of our favorites :). We love taking the boat to MK as well as to the CR for shopping, walking around, etc., but it's also a convenient way to grab the monorail to visit the Poly and GF :goodvibes. We've never had any complaints about any transportation at the WL. We do love the boat, but the buses have always been great during our stays as well with little or no waiting. Every resort has their better moments when it comes to transportation and we have sometimes waited longer for the monorail at the Poly or GF than we have for the bus or boat at WL ;).

My thoughts exactly :thumbsup2

Thank you:goodvibes. Lastly, can strollers fit on the boat? Do they have to be folded?

I normally just read and and have been following this thread for the renovated photos. We just got back from BWI and booked Club Level for Nov. Now I'm thinking of switching based on these.

Looks so nice!!

So much excitement on this thread while I was re-adjusting to life at work! My back is hurting, but I am trying to stay positive and think of everything as part of the healing process.
First of all, a huge thank you to macavity and Kook for getting those pictures up so fast and for all the captions and info! I am also in love with those tiles. Luckily, I am not regretting my villas choice as I thought I might. I just keep thinking about the space and the kitchen!
Kook-to answer your question several pages back, I have taught preschool, Kindergarten and 3rd grade in the past. When my daughter was born I became a stay-at-home mom, but still very involved at school volunteering and subbing and eventually turoring at home. When DD went to college I decided to go back as an assistant to just see how things had changed and to decide if I wanted to recertify and go back to teaching. 8 years later, I remain an overqualified :) Sp. Ed assistant and, other than my very low salary, I love my job!! I work with all elementary grades and don't bring home any work! The kids had written me letters and wrote welcome back messages all over the chalkboard. It's tough going, back-wise, and my primary motivation is to be ready for WDW in August!!
Thanks again for this wonderful thread! BTW, what is the pilot FP system about?

The new rooms look lovely -- so glad they are getting rid of the bedspreads at all the resorts! Thanks so much for posting the photos! :goodvibes

I love taking the boat, I find it to be kinda relaxing.

Me too....it's a nice relaxing ride ::yes::.

Thank you:goodvibes. Lastly, can strollers fit on the boat? Do they have to be folded?

You're welcome :). I think there are 2 boats.....1 is small where a stroller does have to be folded up, but the larger one I think a stroller can be rolled on :goodvibes. Hopefully WDWKOOK or someone else will clarify ;).

I can't compare WL CL to BWI CL as we've never stayed at BWI, but I will say WL CL is awesome :thumbsup2. The CMs are top notch and I love how the lounge seating goes around the upper railing overlooking the lobby :cloud9:. Good luck deciding, but I don't think you would regret trying WL CL :).

I'm sorry you're back is still hurting....I hope you are able to get some relief soon . I'm glad you're not regretting staying in the villas.....you will have a great trip, especially knowing you have all of that extra space and a kitchen to use ::yes::.

I agree.....I love the duvets :goodvibes.

Lastly, can strollers fit on the boat? Do they have to be folded?

As a PP said, there are two boats - one larger and enclosed, the other smaller and open. On the larger boat, strollers don't HAVE to be folded. However, if there are a lot of people waiting (so lots of people trying to get aboard), and you are able to (no sleeping LOs), I would just to be courteous and save space. When we were there, the boats were fairly uncrowded, so when we had the larger boat, I just strolled right on. On the smaller, open sided boat, you do have to fold the stroller. It can be somewhat of a pain if you have a tired/sleeping child, or if you have stuff in the basket that would have to be taken out (I kept a spare bag for shoving all the little things in it if I had to fold quickly). Alternatively, you could just wait for the next boat (which would be the big one) that is usually only a few minutes away. When we were there, we rented a stroller -a Baby Jogger Mini (Theme Park Strollers) - and it was the easiest thing to fold so that helped when it came to the boats, buses, and train.

I can't wait to stay here on our next trip. The best part was not having to convince my family to pick WL...they already wanted to stay there!:cool1:
