Well, I upgraded to CL! Just got off the phone! I figure I have about 3 months to save! The only thing is there were no woodsview left-just standard
So everything is done now...resort, adrs, MNSSHP & flights...now what?

Honestly, I need to get off the computer & get some work done!!

I'm so happy for you, marymac123! You are going to love CL at WL. Oops, just noticed you've stayed CL at WL many times, so you know how great it is!

The only room view booking for CL at WL is "Standard View." If you want a Woods View, just add that to your reservation as a request! Though it can't be guaranteed, the room assignor at WL is wonderful and will do everything they can to put you in a Woods View room. The other view option is Courtyard View and within that view there is WL (or Inner) CV and VWL CV.

Make sure your anniversary and DD's birthday is noted in your reservation. Happy planning and congratulations! If you have any questions, fire away.

Well, we just got to the Lodge. We got upgraded! I booked a standard view and we got a courtyard view. Much better view than last year!

So far, my sister is loving it. This is her first time at WL. We walked into the lobby and she took one look and just said, "wow!".

We have dinner at MK tonight and got offered those new trial FPs at the airport. So, we'll be taking the boat soon..

We are here now. Lovely as I remember it. I have not gotten a look at any refurbed room. Would love to move over to one to me though! Wishful thinking.

WL Good stuff: OFC club is wonderful, staff is friendly, very clean hotel. Rooms definitely need a refurb but it isn't too bad. DS loves the waterside. He is five. I can't get him out of the pool at night. Very quiet on the villa side.

WL disappointments:
My only real room request was a king bed. I told them specifically my son only likes to sleep between us on trips. We got bunk bed room. The queen bed is too flipping small and none of us are sleeping even when DS isn't between us. The second day here the maids left the bunk rails unlocked. If my husband hadn't discovered it it could've been a trip to the hospital...or worse. So either my DS is crammed between us or i am up worrying if the the rails are locked. Next time I am going to lie and say we are a party of two to get my king size bed.
We got two bathrobes since we are on the CL floor, and after emailing IPO to request one for my ds, they said to call when I check in. I called. They said they have none. Kinda woulda thought Disney would have kids robes. Four Seasons Maui did. Not exactly teaming with kids there.

Park: not too crowded these past weekdays. Epcot was a waste though. With TT closed, Soarin is main attraction ride my DS is tall enough for. Today it was broke half the morning and the mad rush for FPs when it opened was ridiculous. More like wrestlemania than Disney.

First half of vacation complete....we will see how life at HS is tomorrow. Hopefully I will get a little sleep tonight but i doubt it. I AM SORELY MISSING MY KING SIZED BED!!!

Pretty sure that's an occupancy thing -- rooms with a king bed are allowed to have two guests max (unless there is also a daybed or sofa bed). I know I requested a king bed on our first trip to Disney with my son (then 5) for the same reason, and they said, "Nope, sorry, not allowed." It's a bummer.

bowbat is correct about the kings - the max. occupancy is 2. Thank you for posting your TR, hookem91. The first CL rehabbed rooms in the North Wing were not slated to open until today, so any CL check-ins prior to today would be assigned a South Wing room.

Soarin' is always VERY popular and FPs go fast under the best of circumstances. TSM is the same way, so get there fast tomorrow if you want one that isn't too late in the day. Enjoy the rest of your vacation
