But I need to come back and say hi, we are booked for April :cool1:

DISCLAIMER...I am a resort changer, this is subject to change at any time, and I usually say it's my last change....I am nervous that the WL IPO doesn't even take me seriously anymore :lmao:

Right now I am checking out all the resort activities...and teaking some ADRs. We have 2 rooms CL booked with the Spring Discount. I already have had a great experience, when calling for availabilty today, there were no CL rooms available. There was a Deluxe room with the discount available, but the CM wasn't sure about what rooms connect so she called the resort directly. Then she came back asking if CL was a must (for my little princesses...it is ;)), so I said if it's an issue just leave my reservation as it is for BC. After going back on hold (for quite awhile but all good) she came back and said, we worked a little magic and booked you into 2 discount CL rooms :yay:

So I have my Christmas gift from WDW :santa:....now to re-read the thread...Thanks for having me back!!!

You know you are always welcome! It's always good to have you back!!! :rotfl: I really enjoyed having access to the CL lounge, so I can see why it is a must. I'm glad it worked out for you.

Hi Brian!

I know, this is a happy thread :goodvibes High maintanence DD needs CL (AKA-nicknamed by KOOK "HRH" her royal highness) If the kids are happy mommy is happy :cloud9:
speaking of DD, how is your Princess????

Back from our quick trip to WL.

The crowds were crazy! but that just made us stay in the Lodge more! The princess did surprisingly well. We didn't do any pics with characters, but probably will in the future.

Got a "bear face" room, which is incredible during christmas. Opening the room door and seeing the tree was so special.

I don't think I would ever go this close to christmas again.

My brother and family stayed at AKL and had quite an issue with Housekeeping not cleeaning the room and an arguement with a cm at the concierge desk. :scared1: It was not a good beginning of a trip for them. The really bad thing was that the housekeeping manager was suppose to check in to what happened and get back to my brother, but that never happened. Customer service over there seems to have really slipped. :confused3 I hope it's better for when we go in January.

Brian

So happy that she did well and you had a great time! It is hard with a stroller and crowds though. Even though it is so pretty at the holidays, the crowds can make it tough. Glad you survived!

Very sad to hear that your brother had issues at AKL. I have stayed there twice and now have DVC there and have had great experiences with the hotel and Villa. My rooms have been very clean and the staff there was very friendly and helpful. I hope it was a fluke and is not the usual there.

Happy Holidays!

She is doing great. The trip was a lot more painless for her than we thought. It was good to get a trial run in. ;-) BTW.. She started to stand on her own yesterday. It's amazing that she is growing so fast. She'll be 10 months in a little over a week.

So how many times do I have to change ressies before I get to join the Resort Changers?? Our Jan vacation has been from CR to AKL to AKL/BC to ALK/WL. You, Kook and Minnie&Nana are really rubbing off on me.

The boat was definitely a life saver a couple times. She does not transition from stroller very easily, so one night coming back from EPCOT we actually did the monorail to MK and took the boat. She slept soundly the whole way.

We have AKL for the next trip for 4 nights so I'm hoping for good service there. They did compensate my brother quite well, so I think he is more content. Though they are not planning to ever go back to AKL. They felt it was too remote.

She'll be walking soon princess: time really does fly! Glad you all had a good trip. Disney is VERY baby friendly...the baby care centers have always been a life saver when my kiddos needed a break. She is lucky to have Disney Loving parents :goodvibes. I am very happy to hear the boats are good there, When we went to YC this past trip I was in a wheelchair with my broken foot and it was great that my DH could just roll me onto the Friendship boat to DHS...wish I could say we had an equally good bus experience...so I imagine this trip...other than MK we will take our car.

I liked AKL, but it is pretty remote. We never used the buses there, but it's a beautiful resort. As for the resort changing......open invitation my friend...come on over :woohoo:

Nice to have you back:goodvibes. I hope this time you stay a while;)

I have always found the WL room assignors to be wonderful. I really hope you stick with this reservation, especially since the RA did a little special maneuvering to get you those connecting CL rooms. I think you saved some money, too? You (and more importantly, HRH;)) are going to love The Old Faithful Club:)

It's great that they compensated your brother, but it doesn't look like they've made him a return customer. It's really hard when you've had a bad experience to let go of it. It often sticks with you longer than a good experience.

Just thinking about changing resorts is good enough for our "little thread of big changes." All are welcome anytime and we won't judge you! We're located here.

I definitely considered all the glowing reviews (esp. yours my friend ) of Old Faithful Club before the switch. DS10 and I were checking out WL pics from the first page and HRH walked by, stopped and said "Where's that Mommy...it that in Disney, let's stay there" :goodvibes

Then I got an "I told you so" from DH. I am thinking of using some of the $$ saved for a fireworks cruise...the IPO made A LOT of suggestions of things we can do :yay:

I want to stay here to this time :santa:

I think if we both stay there together the resort will never be the same! :rotfl:

During my trip to WDW this month I said this time I am going to visit the Wilderness Lodge because I haven't been there since August 1999 which is when I last stayed there. Well I have to say it was very nice going back and taking some pictures. Although my main reason for going there was to purchase the 2011 Wilderness Lodge holiday pin which I was able to get.

Me too! :goodvibes 24 more days!! Looking forward to low crowds :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

12 more days. I'm anticipating same crowds as marathon weekends past. I've not felt them to be unmanagable, definitely better than Presidents week.

Have only a little over four months until we arrive at the Villas. Can't wait. Until then, ya'll enjoy and have a very:

:santa:MERRY CHRISTMAS and a joyfull NEW YEAR:banana:

I'll have to take lots of photos before you guys get there so I can remember the good ol' days:rotfl:

Did you go into the Mercantile? You mentioned on the BWI thread that there was more resort branded merchandise there. Did you notice WL merchandise? When I was there in August, they were putting on clearance much of it and phasing some of it out and the manager didn't know what would be replaced.

Yes I did go into the Mercantile store and saw a lot of Wilderness Lodge merchandise and it was a lot more then what the Boardwalk had available.

Where did the time go? It seems like we were just waiting for her to arrive and now she is standing and 10 mos old already!! Happy everything went well for her first trip.:goodvibes My DGD is one who will do better going older for her first time and definitely during a quiet time. She really wants to see the Christmas decorations and parade( my fault because we have been watching the MVMCP promo on the website since she was old enough to look at the screen;)), but all of December is so busy now. Used to be early was nice, but the 1st 2 weeks have gotten so crowded that it's not as much fun anymore...and sounds like the 3rd week picked up too now. For a couple of years the 11 to the 17th was another super quiet time.

Anyway, we will probably go in January of 2013 for her first trip when she will be almost 4 1/2....which means I can start planning soon!

Brian, with all those changes you are most certainly an official member of the RC club....come on over!! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=43534974#post43534974 I've not been on the DIS in ages....too bad real life gets in the way.:sad2:

Merry Christmas!!!
