1. I agree, we waited till midnight one trip for our luggage! I think your granddaughters are going to love AoA for a night! I wonder if you could just pack one carry on with a one days set of PJ's and tomorrow's clothes - enough to get you through the one night? I'm not sure how much luggage all you all will have, but maybe that's a compromise?

2. Traveling to WL, ask when you check in at AoA about transferring your luggage the next morning - (I'm not sure what the new routine is) but again, pack your "day pack" (maybe swimsuits?) and take a bus - (Does the Whispering Canyon have breakfast early, so Bus transportation? If not you might have to go to MK then transfer to a boat or bus from MK to WL) The other option is to call a taxi to get you from AoA to WL (maybe posting on the Transportation forum here on the Disboards will get a better answer than mine!)

Thanks Sandy321! I appreciate the help and suggestions. I will check on the transportation thread and see what the current routine for changing resorts is :)

I'll be taking more pictures today. We have a mostly easy day planned with only Fantasmic on our schedule for today.

Here is a picture of the kids splash pad. As you can see, all the plumbing is down and it looks like it is just about ready for the concrete to be poured.

Workmen are already on the scene by 8am. I will have a better update on the progress of the pool area later.

Kastoney and Angi thank you both Very much for helping!!!!

LSdolphin - thank you for helping as well!! I appreciate the detailed info!!! So sweet of you! My kids would definitely appreciate the nuggets, and even more so my DH who would be relieved he wouldn't have to run down to RF to get the kids food because they don't like anything!! LOL

Is there a menu posted up each night? If not, I can just keep Kooks list where I can easily access it. Thank you all again!!!

There were no menus at any CL lounge I've been in. Just a schedule of offerings but the schedule didn't list the exact foods just the category, like Breakfast, Desserts, Small Plate apps, etc, and the hours they are served.

Thanks Angi! I appreciate all your help!! I'm really looking forward to it! The food looks amazing, just hope the kids think so too!! ;) lol

just know with all your advance planning, things may get bumpy, but you'll be prepared - Have a magical time! :wizard:

It is really good. I know my DGD got a kick out of the PB&J Shooters. They are so fun!

It turned chilly while we were there last year and we really enjoyed the soups each night.

Many of the items are the same things that are served downstairs in WCC or Artist Point so that should tell you just how yummy they are.

I'm sitting on the balcony of our room, watching the geyser go off. The construction crew is busy hammering and sawing wood. There is a form surrounding the main pool which I think is for the new pool deck, since the form faces the deck and not the pool. We took a walk to Fort Wilderness and saw a cement truck coming into the staging area. I ll let you know if they pouring today.

Is there any way to upgrade to a bunk bed room?

We booked a standard room through Expedia but now I'm really wishing we'd gotten a bunk bed. Can we pay to upgrade at check-in? Maybe just request it and hope for some pixie dust?

Ugh and they look so good, but my youngest has a peanut allergy, so we all try to avoid peanuts for his sake! We will definitely try the soup! Always nice after a chilly night! The chicken skewers look delicious too!!! I have a bad feeling this will be the first of many CL stays!!! Lol

Thank you so much for the update ... we arrive Nov 30 and hope it is completed as scheduled but you never know. It's nice to see the progress.

Hey guys! I have a couple CL questions, and I was hoping someone could help me. What exactly is served during lunch hours? (I believe the serving hours were 11:30-4) I saw a few pictures showing snacks such as gummy bears and chips, but is there any food? Also, to those who have been in the CL recently, are they still offering chicken nuggets? Thanks so much!!

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

I just got back on Monday and during the lunch hours they had wasabi mix (this has peanuts in it), goldfish crackers, chips, gummy bears, chocolate chip cookies and sugar cookies. That's all of the food that's served during that time.

Yes, there are still chicken nuggets. Yum! :) There were chicken nuggets on two of the nights we were there. One time they were plain and another time they had a sweet chili sauce on them. The ones with the sauce were called sweet chili boneless chicken wings but they're basically the chicken nuggets with sauce on them. They're really good!

If you have any more questions about the food or anything else about CL, I'd be happy to answer them. :)

Before I get to multi-quoting, I just received some photos from hstrickland:goodvibes. Her DH, Bill, took them this morning. (Thank you, Bill!) I don't have any comments to go with the photos, so they'll have to speak for themselves. Thank you to WoodNymph for posting photos and comments:thumbsup2

These are awesome pictures! Thanks so much for posting them, appears things are coming along rather well. Hopefully they will be done on time or pretty well close to that anyway. Praying for no delays thats for sure.

I also asked about the discount and got a funny look the CM Rob said he would ck about discount then when we came back from pool there was a different CM who knew nothing about it!

Just HAPPY to be here.
Funny look from Rob? Must be Rob from the OFC?! Even if Rob isn't there, another CM can find out for you by making a phone call. They may be unprepared for this because those who were requesting credits were initially doing so before arrival via the WDTC.

Until today, my family and I were staying at ASMu for our first night next week due to not being able to add that night to our free dining res(long, long story). We figured, hey let's save some money. Well yesterday I was able to book Hoop Dee Doo Revue for that night (Wednesday). So today we decided to go for it and changed our res to the Lodge for next Wednesday night! AND I was able to use my passholder discount for 35% off. :cool1: New dates, 10/29-11/2.

We'll be at the Lodge in 7 sleeps! :dance3:
Yippee! I'll add your dates to the Log:)

Hi All, Does anyone know what Flipper location delivers to the WL? Thanks!
Not familiar with off-site deliveries so I Googled it and found this comment from 2011:

"We stayed at AKV last December. Had a hankering for some pizza one night so I walked down to the front desk and asked them what pizzas delivered to AKV. They had a number of brochures there, but one of the bell boys said he liked Flippers the best. So we gave it a shot."

This is from 2009:
"I had Flipper's deliver to Disney Caribbean Beach Resort so I'm sure they'd deliver to Pop Century also."

Looks like you won't have any problem.

Hello, we are here now staying CL level I was not impressed when we arrived around 12:00 but I am a "believer" now !!! CL staff this afternoon and his evening have been wonderful! My nephew was disappointed that there was no root beer in cooler and when the CM overheard him and found out he can't have caffeine and was tired of just drinking water and sprite he showed up at our door with several cans of root beer!

Snacks this afternoon included choc chip and sugar cookies, chips, gummy bears, and snack mix. Coke, diet coke, sprite, apple juice boxes, several kinds of beer in cooler. Also cranberry lemonade, ice tea available. Doors locked between 4:00pm -5:00pm. Then from 5pm to 7pm they served wine and cheese tray, P b& jelly shooters, chicken salad roll-ups, a chicken salad with veggies, small Roos with melted cheese, and tomato fennel soup.
Desserts tonite included apple cobbler (absolutely delicious), chocolate chip cookies, magic cookie bars, lemon bars, and s'mores tarts! Also wine, beer, and various Cordials were offered as well.
So you are CL, then that must have been THE CL Rob;). I'm glad you're warming up to CL and enjoying your stay.

Is there a menu posted up each night? If not, I can just keep Kooks list where I can easily access it. Thank you all again!!!
As the OP said, there aren't any menus posted so the link I have to the most current menus (in the CL section) are your best bet. They do place a little sign with the name of the dish in front of each item and the CL CMs can tell you earlier in the day what will be served at 5.

KOOK,

Well, well, well, the ticker is back!:rolleyes1

ONLY BLT tho????....;)

What have you been up to?! You've missed some recent posts:rolleyes1. There was one with some Randy news and we'll actually be at BLT's neighbor, CR:goodvibes

There is a possibility of having a bunk bed in a SV room. The SV rooms with bunks are by-request only. So you could request one, but it won't be guaranteed.

I have 2 res at WL next week. The first is a room only then we check in for our free dining res.

1. For the BB passes, if I request it during the first check in, will it expire the day we "check out" or can it stay on our band throughout our entire stay?
2. Has anyone besides WoodNymph received the $50 per night room discount? If so, is this an either/or thing? BB or $50/night?
3. I called WL last night to link our two res so we hopefully will not have to switch rooms. The CM told me that I could just tell them when we check in. Is this true? :confused3

Sorry for the questions! Just wanna get everything squared away before next week. :hyper:

Bill says you're very welcome. Sorry about the 'commentless' (is that a word?? ;)) photos. My one request to Bill before he left for his conference.... GET PICTURES! And so he did. Perhaps I should have put stipulations with the pictures :scratchin Bill did say that the construction project is huge and can be a bit noisy. However...he totally understands growing pains - Without them, one falls behind. The CMs he's spoken to are very excited about the final product....should be fabulous! :thumbsup2 And worth the wait!

:scratchin Why yes it is.... I wonder if they were there at the same moment in time??? ;) Or perhaps great minds think alike:thumbsup2

I knew it was all too good to be true. I had so much pixie dust lately that something was going to come crashing down.

My brother just text us saying that work would not let him off the 3 days next week to go on our trip. We were celebrating 15 years of FAMILY WDW vacations. I wanted all of us to be there.

I don't really feel like going if it isn't all of us and I know it will affect my father's mood. Once I get there I'll be okay but I planned so much of this trip around him and my dad that it makes me sad he will not get to experience it.

I have many words, but you know what they say, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." I'm gonna go sit in my corner and figure out what to do... :furious:

Yep it was OFC Rob only he was super helpful today! Everyone here very friendly and helpful! We were supposed to be doing a split stay with last 2 days @ POFQ then I tried to just make our whole stay here at WL but could only get 2 extra days in Standard room. Then this morning Rob called to say they were going to upgrade our last 2 days to. CL and we would be able to stay in same room in lieu of discount due to pool closure. So happy this is great news!

We do miss the large pool and it is definitely a mess out there and noisy when you open balcony door but smaller pool not too crowded and we are having a great time. I am so glad we did not end up changing resorts after all!

I believe someone reported that they were asked by the CM what day they would like to use their BB tickets…or was that at the Poly? No, I think it was WL:scratchin. I think you'll be fine your check-out day.

Previous to WoodNymph and now Lsdolphin, I had only heard of guests calling the WDTC and asking to speak with Guest Relations and being offered/asking for the $50/night credit. The BB tickets are in addition to the credit, but it was my understanding that the credit was only for those who had booked Courtyard Views that were impacted by the construction view/noise.

It sounds like you have two reservations for your party? Have the CM note this in your reservation AND remind the CM at check-in. They will do their best to keep you in the same room, but it can't be guaranteed.

It's a word now and no apologies here - you know the rules.

Dare I even suggest (of course I will) that Bill, umm, gonefishin' (is that his DIS username?) and WoodNymph might have been taking that picture at the exact same time? Coincidence? I think not!

This was to be a family reunion of sorts so I completely understand your anger. Is there any way that DB can make it for any part of the trip? If not, is there any way to reschedule? Disney can be very accommodating often in circumstances like this.
