Waterfall update, only 2 people working and water has now been completely drained from pond below and above falls, really looks like they are just starting over!

Good Gravy!! What is taking it so long? I thought the target date was first week in July.

I say, take your ice bucket, fill it with water and start making trips to the stream. Should only take about 10,000 trips! Show 'em how it is done! :thumbsup2

Haha! And send a video for us to see of your process.:rotfl:

I was there yesterday to see the construction on the waterfall because I'm staying there in a month with my family. I asked the woman at the front desk when it would be finished because we arrive August 11th and she went in the back to ask and told me there's a high chance it won't be done by then :(

What exactly are they doing to it? This is starting to make me feel less confident about the pool being done on time.

They need Sorcerer Mickey!

Oh, this is not good news. I guess we will hide over in the villas and hope the work will be done sometime during our visit! There will still be lots of beautiful things to share with the 2 first-timers in our group, but I have to admit that we lodgers will miss the water under the bridge and the waterfall. We will just go around it and enjoy the geyser!

That is really awful. They just seem to be pushing the date back later and later. My family is going to be very cranky if we get there and its not open and I really don't want to suffer their wrath. This has already happened once before and I don't want to be blamed for paying for an upgrade to courtyard view when there is construction again.

I hate to say this, but we may have to cancel our trip :(

I am holding off on canceling until I absolutely have to, but the money just isn't going to be there like I thought it was.
Unfortunately, while DH is home he won't be getting a paycheck so I have to save enough to cover the bills until he goes back.

I am so bummed right now :sad1:

Oh no :sad1:. Praying things work out.

We have booked our first trip at the wilderness lodge! We are so excited and it will be our 4th wedding anniversary since we got married at disney! I'm always looking to do something special and was thinking of getting something delivered to the room! We have done the usual welcome hamper and disney florist is little pricey this time. I have seen at other resorts that you can get platters of sweet treats and wondered if they do something at WL?

You can do special in-room celebrations at any resort, go to Disney Floral and Gifts and go to the "In-Room Celebrations" to take a look at all of the available options. They can be a little pricey but they are pretty cool.

We will be arriving at WL in about 30 days, I have not checked in online yet. Was wondering if there is any benefit to doing it or am I better off checking in once I arrive? Love to hear opinions!

When you check in online they know your arrival window. I think it makes it more likely that your room will be ready for you when you arrive. But of course that is never a guarantee. When we've done online check in for the WL we were greeted at the door and got to sit down on one of the lobby couches while the CM ran around getting everything ready for us. It was really nice. :)

Thank you. We will be traveling with children, so that would be nice!
I can't wait to arrive:) It will be our first time at the WL!
