Pulled the trigger and moved to a one bedroom villa. I was excited before, but now!!!!!!! We loved the idea of a CL potential, but knew it was remote. Yesterday was the first time since the big FD day release that a one bedroom opened up. I may be whacked, but the idea of a giant tub, big fridge, and in room washer and dryer made me more giddy than free snacks and booze.

Saw some of the views from some of the rooms. YUM. I can feel the relaxy goodness washing over me

We also think we can hide where we are longer from the DD by staying in the villa. She still has no clue. :) :wizard:

I think you made a great choice. You will love the villas "Your Home Away From Home!!". :flower3:

.....hoping SOMEONE will report on tonite's COBBLER...:rolleyes1
:goodvibes She's so busy loving the lodge!!! Hope KOOK is having a great time!!!!

Lucky gal!!!!

I'll join you in loving the idea of a villa over club level. Nothing beats all that a villa has to offer. :goodvibes
:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 I still am looking for a 2BR to open up..so far for 4 days it is but DH is anti-split stay...gotta keep DH happy. OKW looks awesome...but I've priced out a BLT/VWL split how cool would that be :rotfl2:

LOOK! A question that has absolutely nothing to do with pool refurbishment! :rotfl2: Does anyone know if the surrey bikes can be ridden on the path between WL and FW? How late can you rent the surrey bikes and when must they be returned?

We were heading to the bus stops back in December & as we were coming out the side exit at WL we were almost mowed down by a surrey bike on the path to FW!! LMBO!

It was being driven by a giggling group of guests in their late 70s/early 80s who were having the time of their lives! They could not for love nor money keep that bike on the path... which lead to great hilarity!

We loved seeing them have such a great time.. It was a "most memorable" moment for sure!

I just hope they survived the ride! 0_o

:yay:

To answer your first question, yes!!! And they are loads of fun!

To answer your second, they must be returned by 7:00pm so you should be able to rent them as late as 6:00. More detailed info on Page 1, Post 17.

Have fun!!!!:woohoo:

FYI. I just noticed this on the disney website today, finally a notice on the refurb.

Congrats on the one bedroom villa. We had originally booked that but went the opposite direction and did the deluxe club level. A washer n dryer will never beat free booze in my world ; ). Enjoy!

If it were just DH and me, we would be all over the snacky goodness and boozy treats. But as this is the big 5th birthday surprise adventure for DD, practicality and convenience won the debate. :)

We had our grandson's 1st and 3rd birthdays in a villa and it was really nice to have a real table and chairs for the celebration. :)

Just thought I would say "hi".....seems like everyone is busy, not much chatter on the board! We are so excited with each passing day, looking forward to our trip next month. We arrive three weeks from today! Woo Hoo! :cool1:

Hello fellow Lodgers!!
I checked the transportation post, but couldn't find an answer. Anyone know when boats start running to MK? We have 8:10 Crystal Palace ADR.

According to kook's transportation page it says:

RED FLAG: The boat to the left of the dock has a red flag and goes to the Magic Kingdom. The red flag boats operate from a half hour before the Magic Kingdom opens to an hour and a half after the Magic Kingdom closes.

BLUE FLAG: The boat to the right of the dock has a blue flag, and goes to Fort Wilderness and Disney's Contemporary Resort. These boats run from 6:45 AM to 11:30 PM.

Honestly, for an 8:10 ADE @ CP you're better bring at the bus stop by 7:20 ish and taking the 5 minute bus ride to MK. This will ensure you arrive in plenty of time to enjoy the quietness of Main Street before your breakfast w/ Pooh and friends!

Enjoy!:goodvibes

I'm sure that is the safest but I know we took the boat on previous trips and made it in time. I just love the boat!!

Thanks!

This is exactly what we did. We love the boat too, but for an early MK ADR found the bus to work great. We had to wait a while for the bus to show up, but once it did it was a quick 5 minute trip and we were at the gate in time to maximize our pre park open time on Main Street. You gotta love early CP ADRs :thumbsup2

Then we got our boat fix on the way back to WL once the crowds arrived.:goodvibes

We are hoping to add 1 night onto our trip in December . We really want to try WL CL. I have briefly looked through this site for some info on what the current offerings are in the club, but could not find any info. Does anyone have a menu or pictures.

Also if Disney does release a RO, but is usually the discount for CL first week of December?

Looking forward to catching up on this thread really soon. :thumbsup2
