Sorry to shout, but if I hadn't checked here just now, I wouldn't have known about this discount until it was probably too late. I just saved $1,729.14 on our August villa stay!!!!! I can't go to bed yet because I am so excited! In all the years I have been going to WDW this has never happened to me before. The dates usually don't work, or the hotel, or the availability.
So, thank you woodnymph for posting this link. I have been behind in my Disney reading online and I would have totally missed this if I hadn't checked my absolute favorite thread on the internet.

From the Lobby elevator, it is approximately 300 ft to the bus stop and about 750 ft to the boat dock. They are basically at opposite corners of the resort, as the picture below shows.


The CL rooms are in the narrower part of the U, on the 7th floor, so depending on your room location you could take any of the three elevators marked in red.

Thanks for the diagram. what I especially like about WL is that it is so compact and all in one building (as opposed to GF and Poly)

IIRC it is. Unfortunately the walk to the boat is not (although the boats probably won't be going if there's a storm.

What about the buses to the other parks? Do they share with FW or any of the other deluxe resorts?

There are two boat loops, one that goes between WL, FW, and CR and a second that goes WL to MK (and occasionally FW as well in low traffic times).

For the Buses:
MK buses go direct to MK

AK, HS, and DTD Buses stop at GF on the way.

Epcot Buses stop at FW on the way to the park.

Returning buses are often shared with FW, but WL is always the first stop.

Excellent choice. But, I'm going to use my magical erasing quill to add you to the Lodgers' Log…just in case

Re. the bunk beds, they are scattered randomly throughout the resort. I thought there were maybe half a dozen or so in each CL wing, but I'm not positive about that and may be way off and thinking of the other floors with longer wings.

Made the request for bunk beds. And that's my only request, so...hopefully, we'll get a BB room.

And haha about the magic quill. ;-) we're set! No changes for me! When I was a kid and we camped at FW, WL was the first resort at Disney that I wanted to stay...

August 27-29 WL CL

I HAD to check out the Orbitz rate...yep it worked!! So I added a night on!! With the families' OKAY

So after 5 glorious YC CL nights..we will be moving over to the Lodge!!! Happy Birthday to me!! The only thing to perfect this is a Lodge Queen to share a table at OFC

Anyone know what room request you can put in for club level? Currently booked woods view, but thinking about major upgrade. Can you see wishes from north woods club? Extra cost is $882 and so not sure it's worth it. Already have a TA, so the dining is ready booked.

We were able to see Wishes from our room, but it was a Honeymoon room...$882 is a hefty chunk of change, how many nights??? For a little VIP service I'd highly recommend WL. They were the nicest CMs in any CL I've encountered.

Thanks for the reply! Club level talk turned into the extra cost could provide 3'extra standard view disney days.... So extra days it is. Standard view was fine in September and my girls will be so excited for another round! Yeah for conferences!

Absolutely! It is a short walk from the main pool, and on the other side of the South wing. It has "hidden springs" (water inlets) which are kind of neat.

To hopefully see Wishes request: Woods View, North Wing. That is the side that faces towards MK.
