I had someone check yesterday and all the days were there Missy....did you check September 21-25 BLT one bedroom?? if they are you just helped me decide to book now!

Oops, I searched for a studio. The one bedroom standard view is available those dates. But do not bank on that being available at seven months out. It won't be.

I am starting to stress a little and just wondering if I should suck it up and pay a little more per point to guarantee the room that we want.....I sent an email to the guy I was talking to because now I am wondering what happens if it doesn't have enough points for us to use and then I waited for nothing?!?!? see what I mean??

we are going to be at MK two of the four nights we are there so I am leaning towards saving money and doing standard view....what do you think???

If BLT standard view at the higher price or lake view at the lower price are pretty much the same, why not just book now to save yourself the grief of waiting?

Yes, you can ask David to have the owner add the room requests to the reservation, but there aren't many things to request for standard view.

As far as whether you should wait or not... I think it boils down to a couple of questions...

1) What will you do if at seven months out a night is inexplicably sold out in the lake view one bedrooms?

2) How much time will you spend on the balcony?

If you have a one bedroom, then the additional space of the balcony isn't as crucial as when you're booking a studio. If you're not going to spend much time out on the balcony, maybe you should just book you BLT now (so you'll feel calmer). And then book AKV at seven months.

DVC members on the DIS are not supposed to check the website for people who can't book the villa. It's rather pointless.

It was someone who was renting me their points who checked for me. So it was warranted.

I am having an internal debate with myself and thought this was the best place to ask this question.

We are planning to rent points for BLT for next September and my plan was to use someone on the boards here who I have been in touch with and book in February at the 7 month mark. I have been reading on here about lots of people booking already for September and am now worried that I should be booking now.

Would you go ahead and book now thru David's for a standard view or lake view or would you wait and use someone on the boards here and book lake view for 3$ less per point??? I am worried we won't be able to secure a reservation if we wait so am wondering if I should just go ahead and book now????

If it were me, I'd pay a little more and book now with David's so you get exactly what you want. BLT is very popular and if you wait, you might be out of luck all together. If you have a second choice that would be just as good to you if BLT doesn't work out, then I'd maybe wait to see what happens at the 7 month mark; but if BLT is what you really want and you don't really have a 2nd choice that would compare, I'd book now. Good luck.

What are my chances if getting a higher floor std view??

That's a tough choice as you never know what will or will not be available later on . We've never stayed at BLT so I can't answer about a higher standard view, but hopefully someone else will be able to give some insight .

We had a two bedroom standard view at BLT, 2nd floor and LOVED it. Right dead center of the inside of the C. Have fun!

I agree. That's what we did. We were able to book a cash reservation through CRO around the 11 month mark. We are hoping for an AP or public discount, but we are soooooo glad to know that we have what we wanted booked. With having to do ADRs 180 days out and all this FP+/MB stuff there were too many other unknowns to worry about and too many things that needed to be done in advance. I didn't want to make dining and FP plans without even knowing if we'd get our room!

If you could book this weekend, I'd do it. Then you will have peace of mind that you will be staying where you want without worrying about whether or not something will be available later. Good luck .

We've never stayed at BLT, but if both are available, I think I'd go with lake view .
