CLOSED COMPLETE Disney Sketch Swap

This is my final version of my Animal Kingdom page for Group B1. Instead of adding lines for journalling, I embossed a piece of paper with the Tim Holtz notepaper embossing folder and then ran my ink pad over it to give it more of a distressed look like the patterned paper.

The colors are off in the photo. This page looks much better in person!

Stephanie --- this is truly wonderful!

Did you get the tim hotlz folder at M's? I still have lots of bday gift certificates for M's. I'd love to have that folder. Making the lines on my own really stresses me out.

I will be off line starting tomorrow. PrincessNancy96 will be here if you have questions or need help.

I'm here..been reading just not posting!!
Have a fabulous trip AWM! Txt when you arrive so I know your all are there safely!!!

Here is my version of Sketch 1B...

It isn't glued down, so if things look not straight, it's probably not lol ..I also forgot to add Mickey ears .. I tuck them, here and there ..

I deviated with the string and tags, I thot it looked top heavy, so I put it at the bottom, perhaps it's because of the journal box, but let me know if it's ok or not.

I make extras of any swap items I do as it's easier to put together and cut them while I'm doing an item, rather than later .. so instead of 4, I made 8 adding to my Disney album! Yah!

Thanks everyone! I was just getting a feel for the swap since I'm new'ish .. thanks again! Hope to have my other one done this week and mailed, yah!

I'm working on swaps this weekend. Hopefully will get to two of my groups since my sister will be helping.

I'm sorry mfbqueen, but putting the embellishment on the bottom is just too far of a deviation from the sketch. If I let you move the embellishment part from this sketch, where do I draw the line for other sketches?

It does look nice. But if I allow that much change to a sketch, then there really is no point to keeping anyone to the sketches.

Sorry if this doesn't sound as nice as I usually am, I'm just bit rushed trying to get to my next park and ADRs.

I won't be checking back in until next week.

Again, sorry if this cause an inconvenience, but I really need you to stay closer to the sketch.

Good news, bad news.

Good - I finished early lol and I LOVE how the sketch turned out and am oh so happy I made extras!

Bad - I glued 'em all down last night lol .. but part of the reason why I did move it was after reading your comments to others, I felt I could move it ..

Here they are:

Yes, you can have those groups. I'll go fix the OP in a minute.

The only things to remember are to use quality paper, check you already do that.
Use the sketch as a guideline. <<< that's what I did ..I thot in my opinion that the sketch was top heavy and put the string lower to balance it out ..

As long as I can say, yes, what you made can be seen in the sketch, I'm good. Play around with it. Stick straight to the letter of sketch. It is your choice. Just have fun. No stressing is allowed. I promise I will help in anyway you need. <<<that is why I moved the string, to me it wasn't balanced at all ..

The glue I used is like CEMENT, which is good .. nothing will fall off .. but I glued these last nite lol ..

I will try to lift them and move them up .. but I don't agree as the rest of the sketch is 99% to the sketch, one string doesn't 'throw off' the look of the sketch to me ..

But I can try to take it off ...
