That is an awesome book! I know I wish now I'd have signed up for more groups but I didn't want to over whelm myself not ever having made one before. I hope maria will host this again in 2008. I know I added it to my list of swaps I'd like to see.

Thanks, AWM!! I edited my post above with the link. I don't understand why the order of the photos changed compared to how they were uploaded. The book does go in order of Mexico to Canada with 2 extra pocket pages in the front and back.

I spent at the very least 10 to 12 hours on each book! Not an afternoon project, that's for sure!

Hey........Any ideas as to how to keep these albums from deteriorating? The bags aren't acid free. Do you think the archival sprays would work?

The bags aren't acid free, but the paper we all used should have been. Your photos will be safe on the bag itself. The tags however are a different story. Those will be touching the bag, so the spray should save your photos. I would use photos that can be reprinted if needed.

OK guys, here I am, back from vacation and I have received lots of packages while I was away and sorry I have not posted last week, but we were super busy with the little guy and doin' stuff!!! We had lots of fun and we spent 3 days at Six Flags New England and I have to say that I LOVE their water park!!! It is great! We had so much fun there.

Anyway, I will update the first page to let you know who's packages I have received. I have not had a chance to look at them all, but the ones I have seen are great!!!

OK guys, here I am, back from vacation and I have received lots of packages while I was away and sorry I have not posted last week, but we were super busy with the little guy and doin' stuff!!! We had lots of fun and we spent 3 days at Six Flags New England and I have to say that I LOVE their water park!!! It is great! We had so much fun there.

Funny - I was at 6 Flags on Tuesday of last week. I go for my kids - I actually can't stand 6 Flags. DH says it's because it's not Disney, which is probably partially true, but my biggest pet peeve is there is no shade (or air-conditioning) in the entire park! I don't swim, but my girls spent a few hours at the water park and loved it (while I found a quiet spot in a restaurant.) We had a great day though - I kept teasing them (18 and 14) did they want to go to Wiggles World - because I think Wiggles World is really fun to say - you must have spent a good amount of time in there!

Actually, Thomas, who is only 5 years old is now 49 inches tall, and can now go on lots of the bigger rides. He loves them and doesn't want to go on the baby rides!!! We only went into Wiggles World once and that was to go on a car ride!!! He still loves all the car rides! He actually went on the UPSIDE DOWN roller coaster! LOVED IT!!!! He went on it twice! Then we found the smaller wooden rollercoaster and he must have went on that one about 20 times!!! We all loved the Pandamonium ride which is a type of rollercoaster that spins as it goes around the track and he went on that one about 20 times as well!!! He is a little daredevil!!! I decided to be brave and try the upside down rollercoaster and freaked out!!! I didn't like it at all and started crying when I got off of it!!!! I think I had a panic attack!!! It was awful! I will never do that again! I tried the wooded one too, and that was scary I think because it seemed so rickity (sp?) I thought it would fall apart any minute!!!! It was built during WW1 I think? It's very old anyway. I think I could go on it again, as long as my boyfriend was sitting next to me with his arm around me!!! I couldn't do it alone... NO WAY!!!!

We did spend most of our time in the water park. From open to close on Tues and Friday. The water park is a blast! I loved it, and so did Manny and Thomas. The 3 of us had so much fun in there. If anything it is worth going to for the water park!

I haven't been checking in here because things were nuts around here between DD being in the hospital, running back & forth there (over an hour away) and trying to help DS get ready to go to England. I did finish the books 2 weekends ago & packed them to mail on the 23rd. I have no clue now what happened, but they're still here!?!?!?

I apologize profusely to everyone involved! I sent Maria a PM with options. I can mail them in the morning (I have DS's car while he's in the UK) if that's okay - otherwise just count me as a flaker on this swap.

The sad part is, I haven't even started yet! This has been such a busy summer. We spent all of last week at Cub Scout Day Camp (fun, but tiring...) Next week, on Thursday, we're going to Maine to visit my DSis and then do a little camping. (My DH isn't going - he will not camp!) Then school starts on the 27th. Crazy. I'm hoping things calm down a bit with school driving the schedule.

I'm just celebrating having finished them!! I'm getting reaquainted with my puppy who is lying on my lap, well part of him is. He grew while I was working on my July swaps and only half of him fits on my lap...he's getting loooong.
