I'm trying to weigh the costs when choosing a hotel and lean toward those with breakfast included, but it seems they often don't serve until 6:30-7. Are there any that start earlier or have to-go bags? We'd like to be lined up for security by 6:45.

The Candy Cane Inn has a decent spread for a breakfast, I'm not sure of the exact string time for it though.
If you book one of their 'premium' rooms, they will deliver breakfast to your room which you can eat while you're getting ready!

I was at the Stovall's Inn on Katella in early August and breakfast started at 6 am.

I just called the Candy Cane Inn re when their breakfast starts, I was curious too.

The breakfast spread near the lobby is from 6:30am-9:30am

In a premium room you get breakfast delivery and he said you can choose between 6:00am-6:15am; 7:00am-7:15am; 8:00am-8:15am; or 9:00am-9:15am

Just throwing it out there, but you could get a room with a microwave and fridge, then do a grocery order for food. (Or drive to target or Walmart if you will have a car) We usually get Jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches and warm them up in our room if we are at a hotel without breakfast. I throw some paper plates Into my luggage. I know it’s not the same, but it could help you get to the parks as quick as you want. ☺️

I was thinking along those lines, too. And they wouldn't even have to do a real grocery run for simple breakfast items. There's a 7-11 near the corner of Harbor and Katella, and some of the hotels have little grocery nooks. Not to mention the breakfasty foods available at DL itself, like yogurt parfaits and beignets. 😁

Thank you, yes, we've done various versions of this over the years, but a hotel with a real breakfast is most preferred because it's less things I have to take care of, caters to my picky eaters, and fills everyone up enough that I'm not buying a 2nd breakfast in the park an hour later.

I would recommend the premium room at candy cane then. We stayed in a premium room with our kids. We have 2 teen boys and they almost always want a 2nd breakfast. So what we did was order extra ham and cheese croissants for the breakfast delivery. Then I brought ziplocks from home and we brought the extras in to the park and when they got hungry at 10am, they ate the croissants. They also did not eat all the doughnuts at breakfast so we saved those as well. (didn’t bring those into the park but left them in the room) As an added bonus, the breakfast delivery helped my kids wake up and they ate while my husband and I got ready. Then while the kids got ready, my husband and I ate. it saved a lot of time.

I agree with other posters about the Candy Cane Inn premium room. It's so nice having breakfast delivered right to your room. It saves alot of time in the morning.

We've stayed at Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn, too, and I think ther breakfast starts at 6:30. You could call to double check. It's just a 2 minute walk to the Disneyland entrance.

Appears that candy cane is twice the price with less space? I was looking at Springhill, Hyatt House, Desert Palms, Portofino, etc. I have a boy and girl and I apparently snore, so we need 3 beds with our bed ideally away from the others. My son also likes to take long princess showers so having 2 sinks is ideal. The 1 bedroom villas at VGC have us spoiled! :rolleyes2 I think I have it narrowed down between Desert Palms and Springhill, leaning a little toward Desert Palms because there's no street to cross. We might be able to eat and run. I'm looking at october, so availability is limited across harbor at the light.
