Clock radio/ipod docking station in cabin - what kind of connection?

in regards to the clock radios onto which you can dock your ipod that are in each cabin, what kind of connection does it use? Is it the old 30-pin connectors used for the iphone 4/ipad/ipad 2 or is it the 8-pin lightning connector used for ipad 3 and above or iphone 5?
