Clique it!

Well I have posted a few times, but never really had a formal outing so to speak so here goes.

I am 29 (Jenny) married to my DH (Sean) (29). We met in 9th grade and have been together since then. (I do not count small high school breaks - we were kids). We both eat low carb (since June 07) and love it. Hubby doesn't stay on plan as much as me, but the bugger seems to lose more weight. go figure. But thankfully I am only 18 pounds away from my goal (130, I am 5'4) YIPPIE. We have 3 DDs ages 12(Courtney), 7(Rebecca), and 6(Madison). We have wonderful girls that make us smile daily. Our youngest was diagnosed this year on the austium spectrum, but with diet, medicine, and advice we have managed to keep her in a regular classroom and limit the melt downs. Every year it gets better. I am the Youth Services Coordinator for our local public library system. I love my job. My hubby is an inventory auditor. He hates his job, but does it cause he loves his family.

We both went to Disney when we were younger (under 10) several times. We hardly even remember the trips. We took the kids in 2005, stayed at POP and did all the parks. We had a blast, but due to lack of planning did not really "do" much. We took them to see LaNouba in 2006 and they loved it. Got me hooked on cirque (since then I have flew to Vegas and saw 2 more shows). My mom, me, and the kids went to Disney in 2007, stayed at POR and just did the 4 theme parks. Again, we had a blast, but didn't really know anything. When we were in Epcot we saw the sign for Soarin' and thought wow whats that. I am glad we waited and rode it.

DH, me, and the DDs are returning to the world on Jan 27. We will be staying in ASMo. We are all so excited. I have really planned and researched so I am hoping this will be the best trip, yet. We went ahead and bought seasonal APs for this trip so we will get to visit a few times this year. YAY

Wow I know I am a talker in real life, but this turned out to be a LONG post.

Hey is it to late to join this clique? If not I would love to be part of this gang. DH and I have been married 35 years (he robbed the cradle) and are enjoying our grandchildren. Their ages are 19, 17, 8, 7, 6, 4 and 3.

The disboards are a part of my nightly routine as tv is not a big thing for me except reality shows.

Hi! :wave2: Sounds like me-I am really not much into TV anymore except for a few Reality shows! And even a lot of those are not holding my interest anymore.

Hi :wave2: I am a huge talker in real life and on the boards! But I haven't had my coffee yet so this won't be overly wordy! I have 2 girls ages 12 and 7.

You will have such a great time going in Jan! ASMo is our favorite place to stay! Okay, we only stay value and the only other place we have stayed is POP, but we really LOVE ASMo. It is just so. . .Disney. And we are not into fine dining, just like a good decent meal and their food court is great! DH is really picky and he loves it. If you like a cheesesteak make sure you have one of theirs (unless you are from Philly--I am sure it is no where that good).

Okay, off to find some coffee.

I will try to wander back later. Talk amongst yourselves!

Hi, I would like join too.

My name is Amy I am pretty much a lurker. My DH John and I have been together 8 years married for 2.5. We have gone to Disney for free dining for the last 3 years. I am trying ot think of something interesting about my self but I am still too tired from last night.

My kids say that all the time.
Hi :wave2: I am a huge talker in real life and on the boards!
::yes::

Guess I didn't give my stats last night, just my attire...

I'm Lara (big shock on that one, I know). I'm, um, well I'm not 40 yet (and never will be :rolleyes1 ). Two kids, daughter 5 and son 3...they're 2 years and 5 days apart. I live in Annapolis and can walk to the Bay from my house. I work full time, but have today off.

Oh, and I tend to be a real smart...um...tushie. :teeth:

Just go down the the little addition sign at the bottom right, click on it and keep doing that with every post you want to quote! :thumbsup2 And go ahead and inch up that post count anyway you can!!!

Thanks!!!! :)

Putting on the new mod hat to give some advice, if you are not sure if a word is okay to put here--like crap (which is allowed!)-- go ahead and type it out. The filters will take care of it by turning it into ******* if it is not allowed. If you type a word out like you did above and it is NOT allowed then you can actually get in a bit of trouble for going around the filters. Nothing major, but it can be a bit of a surprise and a bummer if it happens. If have questions about it, let me know.

And I am not in much pain now. Of course I don't much move off the couch. I keep my foot elevated a lot. Without the DIS I would have gone insane with boredom this last year. Instead I am just DIS insane. Hang out for a few months, you get there too! It is a good kind of

Do your kids know about the trip or are you surprising them?

Thanks for the filter advice! next time I will just type it out first :)

My youngest two wouldn't know what the big deal was if I told them we were going to WDW ;) but my oldest I haven't told yet. Mainly because his bio dad can be a real pain in the rear and would try his best to sabotage it. I will tell his dad when it's necessary, probably about 3 months or so before we go. :)

BTW, what's POP? ... I checked that handy dandy abbreviation list... but it's not listed :confused3

Yeah, I oughta give my stats, too, I suppose.
I'm Mindy, but respond to Ursula, Shadow, US, or hey, you sarcastic SOB...
I'm a sarcastic SOB...oh, I already said that. Sometimes it's a little difficult to get a serious answer outta me, but I honestly love people...ok, MOST people..ummm, SOME people.......ok, the ones that can tolerate me, I like them.

I'm mom to a College Girl (yes, capitals are necessary here) and a budding rock star HS senior son. I'm married, but try not to let that get in my way. I work FT seasonally, so when I'm not busting hump, I'm sitting on the sofa eating bonbons. Thus the WISH affiliation.

I do unabashedly solo Disney trips once in a while. Occasionally I meet up with DISers for dinner or something, but mostly I'm commando touring or lounging by the pool. I've just discovered offsite...I think I need to explore these options more fully...like, move to Florida or something. We'll see.

Hi there, Jenny!!!! Thanks for the great intro. I just realized I never even posted my own intro. oops! Better get to it. :rolleyes1

The DIS boards fill the TV void for me, too. I rarely watch it and would rather cruise the DIS. Welcome! :flower3:

Hi Amy! It's time to de-lurk yourself, chick! :cool2:

I am seeing the family resemblance already. . .:rotfl2:

Let's see I am Laura/LTS/Scrappy/lovetoscrap. I am also a tad on the sarcastic side but can be serious when I need to be. I guess I am going to have to be serious more often now:scared: . Married to a wonderful DH and have 2 girls ages 12 and 7.

Up until last September I was mostly a DIS lurker, stayed on the Trip Planning boards when planning trips, very quiet and serious, helped when I could, asked questions and was terrified of this big scary place called THE COMMUNITY BOARD . I wouldn't dare step foot on it. I heard those people bite

Yeah, that all changed. I won't get into the details, it is too complicated. And now here I am! 15 months later I have made some of my very best friends in the entire world, have been on the best Disney trip of my life with them and am now able to give back to the DIS that has become my home.

That is my New Years Day sappyness. I now return you to my regular sarcasm.:thumbsup2

Here's a brief intro about me!

My name is Trisha, and I'm 33 years young. I'm married, have a 5 year old son and am a special education teacher. I teach in a self contained classroom of ALL BOYS! They are so much fun. I'm also in graduate school and will complete my master's in May. :woohoo:

I love Disney and went for the first time when I was 22. We started taking DS when he was 3 and plan to take him every year until he yells "uncle"! I've also been to Disney with some of my pals from the DIS, and we are meeting there again in Feb! It's a lot of fun to do the World with just the chicks!

Hmmmm, I'm pretty saracastic and have a very open sense of humor. Most everything is funny to me, and I'm not easily offended. :cutie:

I'm glad to "meet" you all! :cool1:

Good morning, Friends! :wave2: Happy New Year's Day to you! What are everyone's plans? We may go see National Treasure 2. If we are not too lazy. Tomorrow we all have to return to school/work, so we may just want to make the most of our final day at home.

Is page 4 too late to jump in?:)

Of course it's not too late!

Welcome, Jenny! Congrats on being so close to your target weight!! How exciting! I have LOT to lose, so I started lo carbing it a few days ago. So far so good! We will have to help keep each other motivated.

My kids say that all the time.

Hi Mindy! That's great that you went back to school! Good for you! I know first hand how hard it is to go back once you have kids. But it's so worth it when you finally get that degree!

Can I still join!?!?!? I didn't see this thread last night- it appears as though it came from another board?

Another Marylander here! I'm Amy and I'm the Mom of two great kids, DD10 and DS8, and #3 on the way very soon. So, not trying to lose weight yet, but ask me again in a month or so! :lmao: I think I found the Disboards by Googling for info when we were planning our first family trip. That trip was March 2002 and we've gone every 2 years since. Not a lot for the die hard DISer's, but yet everyone IRL thinks that going 4 times means we go "all the time." :rotfl2: I'm currently working as an auditor, but my days there are numbered- Maternity leave starts in a few short weeks! :)

Congrats on the new baby! Are you having a boy or a girl? Any names picked out?

Trisha....I don't see you....:rolleyes1
