I am a SAHM to 3 boys. Interesting fact about me - all my boys are born in June within a week of each other, but wait... gets better :) My eldest was born 6/23/99, my 2nd 6/29/05 and my 3rd 6/30/06. That makes my youngest two exactly a year and a day apart.

BUT WAIT... there's more... bet you can't stand the suspense... :teeth:

My eldest will always be 7 years and 7 days older then my 3rd, 6 years 6 days older then my 2nd, and my 2nd and 3rd will be separated by 1 year and 1 day. :teeth:

My husband is currently in Iraq working for the grand ol' US of A and will be home Oct or Nov of '08. So we are planning are first family and disney vaca together for Dec '08

anywhoo... can't wait to get to know you all :)

Welcome, Chipmunk! And thank you for your husband's service and dedication to our wonderful country. :)

thanks! this will be our first trip to AVK, I can't wait :goodvibes

Debbie do you own in AKV? When I was at SSR earlier this month, we saw the models for AKV...they are BEAUTIFUL!

We are staying with another DISer, Squidrific in a 2BR concierge! I am excited, my clan is waaaay too poor for concierge and I'd probably never get to try it out otherwise!

Welcome, Chipmunk! And thank you for your husband's service and dedication to our wonderful country. :)

Thank you :) My husband served in the Army for 5 years, but his MOS was of more importance stateside, so he never got orders to go to Iraq. He is now over there as a gov't contractor helping to keep us and the current forces over there safe :)

Scrap, I have planters too! Heel spurs in both feet, the one on the left is pretty large. I have the night splints, the orthotics and get the shots. I went to WDW earlier this month and had the cortizone shots, but it was still sooo painful to walk around. DH had to push me around in a wheelchair the last couple days.

How is the surgery? Terrible? And it didn't even work? :sad2: That's awful! Are yours from heel spurs, and if so, did they remove the spur? I hope you are on the mend really soon!

The first surgery I had was cryosurgery to try to freeze--well something, I am not sure what-- and it didn't work and things got worse. So I had the major procedure of having the PF cut. So far things seem to be better, but the recovery is very slow.

I didn't have any spurs, just a very bad PF in both feet. I have had night splints for both feet for over a year--I wear the right one now almost full time while I am healing. I have done the max number of shots I could. I have orthotics, did PT and everything else. It just kept getting worse. We won't know if the surgery really worked until it all heals and we see if I can walk fully. I can only walk a little right now.

And then we have to see if the left foot will need the surgery. I have been almost completely wheelchair bound for several months.

Hey, it's midnight....HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Thank you!

I don't know how I do it either, to tell you the truth :confused3

:rotfl:

Seriously, I know he's doing it for us in the long run. It's only a year of sacrifice :) And since I can't get our new house right away, he's appeasing me but letting us do Disney as our first family vacation :teeth:

Hi and welcome! My family has gone to bed, so I'm here to ring in the new year watching Fox news and drinking water! Thrilling, right??? :rolleyes1

About as thrilling as me drinking diet pepsi and watching the Twilight Zone marathon. Fun is what you make it, right?

Hi Vickie! My family is in bed too. Well, except DD10, who has a friend spending the night. We were supposed to go to the neighbors house but I just wanted to veg tonight.

Is anybody else starting a new weight loss plan? I have been lo carbing it for FOUR days! And I'm still on the wagon! :cool1:

No weight loss plan for me (I like cookies too much). Honestly, I eat so many carbs, if I cut back I think I would faint for low blood sugar.

Oh, it has been a very long year Bonnie. I have plantar fasciitis extremely bad in both feet. I had surgery on the right foot in April and it got worse and left me pretty much unable to walk. So I actually just had surgery on it again right before Thanksgiving. I have spent much of the year unable to walk and sitting on the couch or at my computer--LOTS of DIS time!

So that is why the ECV. When we were in Disney in Nov I was unable to walk more than a few steps at a time. I am currently recovering from my last surgery and we are hopeful that I will be better soon. But I may always need an ECV for extended periods of walking like at Disney.

And actually that is not an ECV--it was called the "Scrappymobile"!

 May your recovery come quickly, Congrats on your Modship (is that a word?), too!

Thanks so much!

The first time I went to WDW was in 2002 and it was a nightmare... but to no fault of the park. Hubby and I were dating at the time and his step-father invited us to drive down with him during Thanksgiving break... unbeknown to us, we didn't find out until after the most horrible over 17 hour drive, during the night to Orlando from Philadelphia, it was for HIS family reunion that didn't include WDW at ALL, but told us that's where we we're going... so we had to rush around to try to get tickets b/c they decided they wanted to go to Universal Studios instead. We tried to hit all three parks in ONE day... NOT RECOMMENDED!!!! :rotfl2: We still had a blast though and we want to do it RIGHT this time :teeth:

BTW, how do you do more then one quote? I am honestly not trying to bolster my post count! :p

Just go down the the little addition sign at the bottom right, click on it and keep doing that with every post you want to quote! :thumbsup2 And go ahead and inch up that post count anyway you can!!!

Oh, LTS, I saw you were in an ECV, but had no idea it was plantar fasciitis...I had that for almost 3 years in one foot, and it was torture. 2 feet, twice the agony. Got the shots, got the freeze, still do the orthotics, only thing to help was losing 70 lbs...now I'm gaining back and getting the foot thingies back, too, so..back on the low carbs as of tomorrow (as soon as the beer and Bailey's is gone).

Okay, back to the Twilight Zone Marathon with me...ttyl.

You're exactly right! Which is why I'm here on the couch instead of listening to my DH snore. Definitely no fun in that. ;)

Wow, you have really had a rough time of it!! I hope you get "heeled" soon! :rotfl: At least if you are ECV bound you can't go around pantsing people. ;)

The quotes button on the bottom right, she means. What a gimp!! ;) Once you click it and the little button turns red, it means that post will be quoted within your post. Just click the quotes button for every post you want to include and then click "post reply".

Your 2002 trip might not have been the one you would have planned, but it sounds like you had fun anyway, and that's all that counts!

It's ok, to up your post count, on the CB (I think) there is even a thread for it. To multiquote, click the icon with the quotation marks and a plus sign in the lower right hand corner of the posts you want to quote (they will turn red) and then click on post reply.

To multi-quote you use the ADDITION sign! Which are exactly the directions I gave! Hmmph! :snooty:
