Hiya,
I'm looking for a clip on stroller fan for my son's stroller. I'd been hoping to find one locally, but I have checked EVERYWHERE and nobody has one. It seems like every store carried one last year, but not this year.

I was going to order one online, but the shipping is expensive...almost as much as the fan. Do they have these in FL stores? Like, is it something I will be able to find at the Orlando airport? I'd really prefer not to have to pay for shipping...plus, we leave on July 13th...so I have to buy express shipping to make sure it's here in time.

Thanks!
Roxanne

I know your dilemma...I bought mine a few months ago off of ebay. I am really satisfied with it, but I don't see anymore out there. I know there are more expensive ones with very $ shipping out there. I did see a few things that might work that weren't too expensive when I searched under clip on fans on ebay, not quite what we bought, but maybe you will find something that works.

Good luck. Maybe somebody else has some good ideas!

I have the clip on fans from onestepahead.com. I love them! My kids can't play with the blades - even the foam blades can hurt their little fingers. The fans from OSA are encased in plastic, the neck can be angled any which way and the clip is nice and sturdy. We're using them in a couple of weeks for our hot summer getaway to WDW. I don't think my kids (ages 2 and 4) will be in the stroller much, but when they are they'll have their very own fan to cool them off. Lucky ducks! ;)

We got our ds the clip on from One Step Ahead. He won't leave the dang thing alone. He tries to take it off the stroller. Silly boy. I even tried to clip it on from above off the sunshade, but he can reach it. That was last month at our local zoo when he was 15 months. He'll be 18 months by the time we go. We'll try again.

A question for everyone that has the fan: Is it loud? And how often do you have to replace the batteries?

Not loud at all. Not sure about the battery question. I read another thread where a lady said after running it almost all day, she had to put a new set of batteries in.

Well, we always bring extra batteries for the fans, but I don't remember EVER changing them while on the vacation. I do change them right before we leave. I would say that we have the fans going a good 6 hours each day. So pretty good battery usage. Just bring extras - you never know. Oh, and I think you need a mini screwdriver to open the battery part.

We got ours at The DIscovery Channel Store for $7.95 in the mall. I would call them first. It is not called a Stroller fan it is just called a clip on fan.

Good Luck!!

I got mine off of Ebay....it is the kind with foam blades. It is just called a clip on fan. I got TONS of comments on it. I am serious when I say over a 100 people commented on the fan or asked about during our trip in June. It worked great for the baby....Here is a link to the Ebay auction I won for the fan to give you an idea of what it looks like. I too searched all over and couldn't find anything that resembled this:

Thanks! I managed to find one online at campmor. (I was going to post the url but I don't have enough posts yet.)

It was much cheaper than the one at One Step Ahead, so I ordered two. I think it will arrive in time for our trip.

Thanks!

We ran ours all day in the parks. I had to replace the batteries at least every other day or the fan would run so slow that not much air would circulate.

I have one of those Fisher Price fans, but it has been years since I bought it. Unfortunately, the screw-type attachment wouldn't fit well on the stroller. We ended up giving it to DD just to play with so she would cool down. It is at least rubberized on the outside if they chew on it and they cannot get their fingers near the blades. It isn't that loud when it runs. However, the motor will stop after running it for too long.
