Thanks for the info! We are coming at the end of may. The week before Memorial day. Kids will be 7-13 (4 boys). I need to know why that dang hilton in Clearwater only has double beds lol. Who wants to share a double bed with someone else? I love the look of that hotel and the location, but dang. Double beds.... Or a king with an adjoing room. Either way is super pricey even in points for that. I think we are leaning towards the Double tree in North Reddington. We are only there 3 full days. I know my kid wants to do a fishing excursion, if you have one you'd recommend that can handle 8 people.

We are tacking this on to a universal studios trip so coming from orlando and then looking to fly back from Tampa

Look up HUBBARDS MARINA at Johns Pass. Very close to the doubletree. Fishing charters, dolphin cruises, etc

I wish you luck You can try the Doubletree on Redington Beach the beach is behind it It is sort of dropped down in middle of some more residential condo buildings and some mom and pop motels There are some restaurants gifts etc most of which are located on the opposite side of the street of a 4 lane road and some what shattered around there are spots where you can push the buttons and it flashes the yellow blinking lights so you can walk across just be cautious because some of the cars won't always stop for those If you are booking the hotel I would ask them for about the fishing thing they can probably recommend some place It is fine if your just going to be using the beach but if your going to want to go other places you might find yourself needing your car to get a round Johns pass is probably about 10 minute drive and probably over an hours walk The trolly will take right there to If you drive your car you will have to pay to park
