How do I get my countdown banner to show up? I'm all a-twitter about my next trip and need to see my countdown!

Well, having done mine the other day, you can't just paste the code in the signature posting area. You need to click it to get the Insert page to come up and paste the url in there. So, when in the signature page, click on the little icon for 'image' and that will pop up and paste the Image url in there and you're all set. It's in the bar of icons above the posting area, just like when posting to a page, and it's right next to the smilie icon, with a sun and mountain little pic. Anyway, took me a while to find it myself, lol, at first I couldn't figure out how to do other than clicking on the one I was replacing, which also made the pop up open. Anyway, good luck!

Not sure which site you are using, but some sites do not work.
Try doing a Dis Boards ticker...http://www.distickers.com/ticker/main.php

Just tried one from the site OP was trying. Like the previous poster stated, you need to use the image icon, which is in between the smiley face and the media icons. Just click on that and insert your code

That's what I've done...

I hovered over my name in the upper right corner, clicked on "signature" clicked on the little mountain with sun icon, pasted the link, then clicked Save Changes.

Did it work? Is it showing up, but only I can't see it?

I hate to say it, but it is not showing properly again.
Hmm.... did you properly copy the entire code? And then make certain that the entire code was pasted properly?

And if the code doesn't look like that in my example it won't work also it looks like other parts on your sig might be messing up the image code.

Sorry for your frustrations. No, it doesn't matter if you are still earning your ears.
The code in my example is how your code should look. Not be just like it, actually. Sorry for any confusion. So, go back to the site and do a new ticker. Then go from there.

OK. Forget going back to that site. I tried the same steps that had worked with the banner the other day, with the badge ticker today. Did not work. Then the banner was not working. Very odd, if you ask me. lol

But...... visit one of these websites instead please:

Once you are done creating your ticker, then select the code for IMG URL. Copy or cut exactly, then go to your signature page, then select the icon you had been, paste. Click insert and it should be VOILA!

I have not come across a site yet, that has a name badge ticker. Sorry about that. There are so many other nice ones, as I am sure you have seen quite a few. Take a look again and at new tickers. I am certain that you will find one that you will like just as much as the name tag. Well I hope so anyway. Good luck!

Well, apparently, that ticker didn't work. And this one that is showing up (HOORAYYY!!!!) only wants to be at the top of my signature. My ticker is a diva! lol

Yeah! I am glad that you met with success.
It really is odd about the other ticker site. It definitely had worked, at least once. Lol But not since, I don't know why.

About spacing, just play with that a bit, then preview it. It's all about getting it just right. Just make sure nothing gets cut off. If it does, and there is no getting around it (Because of space constraints) a little editing will need to be done with the rest of the signature.
