Cleaning fee?

I am going to become a member in May and I don't understand the cleaning fee? Shouldn't this be part of your yearly dues?

What cleaning fee ? Never heard of one or paid one,(as far as I know at least).

DVC members staying on points get "trash and towel" service on the fourth day of their stay and if staying longer than 8 days they get a full cleaning of their unit on the 8th day. If you desire full cleanings any additional days than you must pay for it out of pocket. I think the fee starts at $25 for a studio and goes up to $50 for a Grand Villa. One of the reasons that we're able to keep our dues so reasonable is because we don't have daily full housekeeping services. This doesn't bother most DVCers in the least. In fact, I prefer to *not* have housekeeping in our unit everyday. I thought that I'd miss it, but I didn't miss it one bit. I make the bed in about 3 minutes and the unit looks fine. No biggie.
