Cleaner for soap scum???

This thread is awesome just what I was looking for. I just bought a house and the shower has caked up scum on the door & crevices. I've been scrubbing it with a toothbrush & lysol cleaner but, it's still there!

It may be hard water residue. If it is, then look into using vinegar (let it soak, maybe wet a paper towel & slap it on the door to stick) or something like CLR. When we bought our current house about 1.5 yrs ago, my DH lived here for a few weeks until the kids and I moved in. He spent his evenings cleaning the master shower pan because he knew it grossed me out to look at it. He says that the vinegar worked better than most bought products, you just had to give it some time.

Thanks, I'll try it...I'm the same way it totally grosses me out just thinking about it. I haven't used the shower yet and will not until I feel it is clean!!! Next, I will tackle the tub any suggestions on cleaning out the jets? Luckily, the tubs are new in the other 2 bathrooms or I probably would go crazy!!!
